Hi Nate

How have you been?
I have a quick query please.. We had to move our site to a VPS as it was too big...
The only part that hasnt moved over is the jamroom part...
The server hosts have said this

"We were requesting the location of the db configuration file for this site: http://kideso.co.uk/media/ as we'll need this to fully resolve the issue located there"

Are you able to tell me where to find that please as they seem to have no idea - this has been going on for a couple months now - so I decided to ask your opinion/advise please.

thanks Smile

Hello,

You'll want to follow the FAQ from the link below to move or change the location of your JR install... your hosting company shouldn't need a db config file, as there isn't really a config file they would be able to use because that info is encrypted I believe.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

Hi

thanks
I will pass that on to the hosting.

This is what it is saying when you go to the page now...

"ERROR: dbConnect() unable to connect to database server "localhost"
MySQL error 1045 - Access denied for user 'kideoco_kideoco'@'localhost' (using password: YES)"

in your opinion, does that equal with what you've sent me please?

This link:

http://www.jamroom.net/FAQ_Change_Directory_or_Domain

will help you get everything configured for the new directory Jamroom is installed in.

This link:

http://www.jamroom.net/FAQ_Change_MySQL_and_Admin_Passwords

should help you with the error your seeing... it looks like you need to reset the database information for your install.

Hope this helps,
Douglas
