I don't see any problems with those except with the history which works ok but shows a messed url.

Guestbook has never had Sef urls, many parts of Jamroom have not and never will have, although you can use the link database as normal with a title instead of the standard id.

What was the bug with your site?

The fix for 3.1 custom style sheets and epks on sites using SefJam is as follows:

Two rewrite conditions need to be added to the ^members/ Rewrite Rule.

In your SefJam .htaccess file, after this line:

Code
RewriteCond %{ENV:REDIRECT_STATUS} ^$

Add these lines:

Code
RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} !(([^/]+)\.css)
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^(.*epk.*)$

Next get rid of any existing pdfs and you should be good to go.

***edit*** Brian has updated the theme generator to remove the pdf, so after 3.1.1 or once the new files are available in the Jamroom testing downloads, you will not need to manually remove these files. http://www.jamroom.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=85014

Note that rebuilding any artist sites that have already generated an epk pdf will not change the existing pdf. You will have to delete each pdf from each artist folder manually, or change the biography of each band individually. Until the existing pdf is manually deleted or the artist info changed the epk feature will not generate a new one, so you will continue to see the errors within the old pdf.

Let me know if you see any further issues with this feature or any others.

Thanks for your patience with this.

Hi Six,

The same rules will work on a subdir install if you add it to the members rule. However I have not tried this, so please let me know if you see any problems. I completely trashed my subdir test installation trying to find out why things weren't changing (turned out to be the non-rebuilding pdfs), files in pieces everywhere - you know how untidy it gets when you just can't find your keys to take your girlfriend to a crucial interview when you really should be working on something completely different?

I will rebuild it, but not today, so please let me know if it works for you or not.

Thanks

I don't have it installed at the moment, but I will try it out.

Thanks again for the fix Wink

I have a fix for using the 3.1 history feature with SefJam.

If any SefJam customers want to send me their email address (along with the licensed site name) I will send through an additional Smarty plugin. Upload that and then change the call {jr_page_history in theme_header.tpl to {jr_sefjam_page_history and everything should be good.

Not tested in subdirectory install as yet.

Somewhat off topic but I've had a moment of enlightenment: does the "Sef" in "SefJam" stand for Search Engine Friendly? If so, I don't know whether to be proud that I finally figured it out, or ashamed that I didn't figure it out sooner?

Drat it! My attempt at stealth naming didn't work Laughing

It is indeed my jam with search engine friendly things, currently a little dischordant but building up to a stonking groove again. There's some nice feedback in there as well Cool

SefJam Sitemap for Jamroom 3.1 sites has been released.

Although easy to install, it is highly configurable to allow for all types of skin and theme, and will produce a very effective XML sitemap for submission to the Google Webmasters programme.

People already using SefJam are welcome to a free copy, please pm me with your email address and the site you have licensed SefJam for and I will send the files asap. Others can buy it from the Marketplace or pm me.

SteveX,

If I purchase SEFJam - does that also include the sitemap addon?

Thanks,

SefJam does not include the XML sitemap generator. The initial version was distributed to SefJam customers so I could get a handle on how people would use it and the range of sites, themes, skins and configurations that it would need to work with.

I used what I learned from feedback from SefJam clients to rewrite the sitemap generator into something far better, now released as a standalone product. It takes SefJam urls into account when building the xml if you set sefjam = 1 in the config, but it works equally well without SefJam.

Hi SteveX.

I purchased both SEFJAM 1.0.5 and SEFJAM sitemap a couple of days ago.

I have not heard or received an email about this yet.

I do remember that after the purchase the landing place back in JAMROOM gave an error page (Invalid page or something)

Any idea whom I can contact?

Thanks

Hi David,

I did reply to your paypal email address on 17th October.

Which url are you licensing SefJam for, and which skin/theme will you be using?

I will pm and email this to that email address as well.

Thanks

Steve,

We just purchased SefJam1.0.5, Clouds and Sitemap through the Jamroom store/PayPal and didn't receive any download urls.

Please advise.

Rich
