i was not looking forward to a week long migration process
and sinde ive been unsable to sleep hardly at all since begining to work on this this thought was running through my mind last night
and cause im having to redo my archive to clear out broken images in groups and discussions every 24 hours i figured might as well start doing daily imports to minimize the final impact

oh side note after installing group discussions ..its empty
is there a way to reasign group discussions to the groups

well brian the problem is here u see

a list of members galleries and a few images as a preview of what might be in thier gallery but can be a poor representation of the gallery as the 1st 490 images can be photos of thier dreadlocks or of stuff they made or whatever and the last 5 pictures of thier cat or a spider they saw and it doesnt represent nor invite you to click to see what eklse isthere
ok i think the best way to explain how we would prefer them to be organized is
u click gallery and at toop u have a single row of "featured" images with a see all featured then below that say 6 rows or so of cronologically artanged photos the newest pics 1sat ..preferably with a title and username link
clicking title or image brings up the full view
and the thumbs at the top still lead you in the full site galery chronological order
but clicking the users name in either main list or full view brings yiou into thier galery
as it is not all but i think 4 or 5 of each gallery is hidden till u enter it
then have to back out into the next gallery
it just doesnt invite streamlined sitewide browsing

hmm ok a couple notes
1
u cant findanything in any gallery by search but i assume thats just a mater of adding a title anddescription feilsd to the form and alowing that to be searchable
but once i was looking through my gallery there seemed to be around 84
but there should be over 300
theres a whole lot i cant find they dont seem to be attached to my profile anymore

ah ok i think i am seeing all pics regardless of album there..i think but ..yijes its putting hundreds of images on a page definately needs editing with pagination

and this....if my guess is correct would be a photo not in an album

i see no easy way at all to assign them a default album on import
they are suposedly fixing the archiver for me so maybe ican request a default album be assigned

have every image by every user just go into 1 galery regardless of originating album then they can create new galeries once moved in
i think that maybe the only option can every image in the json just dump into 1 single users gallery
i havent looked but after the fact can they then be moved to new galeries
i really think less then 10% were ever in aalbums so assigning every image to a default then letting the users sort it out after the fact has got to be the best option
so.
can u modify the import module to ignore the album codes and just dump everything into a single user galery
after that its just housecleaning to rearange
