Yes, Jamroom is designed with modules. Modules are displayed on Profiles. Which modules show on a profile is determined by the "Quota" they are in. You can have as many Quotas as you like, so you can have as many different types of Profile as you like.
Its quite common to set one type of profile up to hold community stuff, then a different type of profile for community members.
eg: One profile type will be allowed to have a Forum while the other profile types are only allowed to use the forum, not each have their own.
Jamroom.net is the central location for people who use the Jamroom CMS system. It is where your site will download any module updates from.
Your site will run on its own domain. Your community members will all be on your site, they do not need to visit jamroom.net unless they want to create their own community. On jamroom.net you will get your license key to access the marketplace so your site can download updates. You can visit the Forums here to get help running your site.
Jamroom CMS has many components and its important to understand how they work, there are: * 'Profiles' - Where the content users have added is uploaded to * 'Users' - The person sitting looking at the screen * 'Quotas' - The modules that each profile has access to.
On top of that, there are different levels of users: * 'Standard User' - a normal user of the community * 'Profile Admin' - someone who helps out keeping content in order * 'Master Admin' - the guy who decides how the system is set up
The admin level users can edit other profile that are not their own.
