see with 7 replies and a pageination set to 10 or 16 I see a pagination thingy ast the bottom

the forums show a gagination back forward and dropdown when only 1 page exists clicking the arrow brings you to a empty page with only the forum topic title bar

turn your site into a universal app in under 10 minutes

its easy to turn your site into a universal app with no coding knowledge required.

simply follow these steps
1 download visual studio community 2015 and install, free
2 update with the nesacary windows 10 universal app functions (depending on net conection this might take longer then 10 minutes but once installed the actual app creation takes only 10 min)
3 open visual studio, create new project and choose javascript > windows > universal app

4 now we prepare our project, 1st by deleting all the folders except images, and delete default.html file so you should have 2 files and 1 folder left
5 click the package manifest file on the left a bunch of options show up, display name (name your app) url replace default.html with your url note, if you use ssl to login, you should use the ssl version of your url like https://www.dreadlockssite.com
6 click the content urls tab here you enter your urls you want to include in the app if you only want your www just enter https://www.dreadlockssite.com include and use the dropdown change to all
if you have subdomains click add url and add a wildcard like https://*.dreadlockssite.com note, if you have multi-level subdomains like shops.music.yoursite.com create a new url line with *.*.yoursite, doubt that applies to many of you but being thorough)

7 at this point your ready to test (but not publish yet) when you test it will require you to enable developer mode in windows 10, just click developer mode and its activated back in visual studio simply click the debug on local machine button, up pops your app, verify it works as expected
8 now click the images tab, add a logo background store logo etc (only 1 is needed from each section)
8 you will need to sign up for a Microsoft developer account, its just 20 bucks a year as an individual (200 as a business) once in your dashboard you 1st reserve an app name, upload the app package, then there well be something like 6 steps of info you need to provide like if you want to charge for the app or make it free etc
9 wait for verification and publish verification should take under an hour, publish to the stores supposed to take 24 hours after verification, but since its the early days of the app store its taking longer ...possibly 3 days


next step, for whoever can figure it out 1st, integrate with Cortana and alow the jractions to send toasts (notices to the notification center) when new activity happens on the site
if anyone figures that out post how you managed it here
lets keep this discussion going on further developing the apps to extend the capabilities

odd ...i spent the last 2 hours trying to fix it and it just fixeditself when i was nearly done

correction, stil had to override each and every element for edge, dont know why it was not workibng in ff then it worked but not in edge
but noticed edge had some other css weirdnesses

further correction
the way to fix it isnt to mess with css at all
its a problem caused by the css on pages with no posts to disguss just click on any post so you go to a post that has disqus coments, it refreshes the css you go back and its fixed

weird as i rested with cleared caches

trying to figure this out it seemsto work in ie now using html.js body,html.js body a html.js body span,html.js body li
but only in ie as theres some code that only adds the classes in ie i think, or something

edit
it works finein ie and chrome not ff or edge

im really having trouble finding a code that will fix it

did the disq1uss commenting module change or is it just me since upgrading to windows 10 (wich rocks btw)
ive noticed no matter the browser my white text tuned black and cant seem to fix it in css (yet at least) and everything below topic titles was replaced with a period

you dont show up as a member of that group
i think theres a distinction between member of group, and admin of the site
yes a site admin should be able to see whats in private gro0ups so theres no hankypanky going on
but on ning as an example even though you were admin, you couold see but not post in a group unless you joined that group...

if your to be a member by default then yiu should be in the members list by default
but i prefer that even admins have to join in order to post and be a member (but admins can see everything even in private groups)

well still you should be able to be a member and seen as a member of groups that interest you
it might just be a matter of asthetics, fitting the buttons along side the admin action icons
..or for that matter they might all be in the same continibng div with a set width so u cant see it, i dunno didnt examine the code, just noticed no way to join groups and thought that was odd

ps strum are u still on creators i was booted for no real reason, has there beenany updates at all..anything being done, and ...if i do a demo of the new improved sitebuilder would u post it

yea its only admins that have no join wich is replaced by the admin icons, but there still should be a join
