recomended server side caching options (linux/centos apache 2.4 newest php)

Installation and Configuration

im running a dedicated server but even with a very high performance test rating im starting to have slow loads
i was recomended to turn on some server side caching options but was told that i should ask the jr developers what server side caching options would work best with jr

motes
im running apache 2.4 on centos 6.6 64 bit newest php i run tomcat 7 ..because im tryingto work out how to use opensearchserver to replace the jr search (no offence guys but its absolutely essenttial the jr search sucks opensearchserver has customizable relevence url filtering (module search) custom renderers (can extract youtube or photo data etc) and just would make an awesome replacement for the jr search

but back on topic what are the best server cache options

remove seamless internal sort limit

Suggestions

ok as long as its set way higher! i cant pretend to understand why it wouldnt work without 1
and the override should be included in the docs, as well as ...if its possible a way to set it to unlimited

but thnx for doing what u can do

remove seamless internal sort limit

Suggestions

for weeks i was trying ti figure out why my seamless lists were:
1 not ordered properly and
2 had thousands of "blank' pages

now it seems to me a module thats made to combine multiple modules lists into 1 should expect more not less so shouldnt have any internal limits at all in the sort order
but as it is now its 2,500 or so
considering i have around 80,000 uploaded photos thats an insanely low limit i had 3,991 pages of photos..only the 1st 150 or so showed photos the rest were blank.. and were not ordered correctly

i see no reason why there should be any internal sort limit at all
so can't it be removed?
