question tryting to install sphyder or whatever its called
i uploaded the files to sitesearch
created the db
i go to run mydomain.com/sitesearch/admin/install and get 404
added a text file to sitesearch and get a 404

why is it not finding the stuffi just uploaded

your right it was in the description now that i looked at the details page

but if there were a way to rank title over text exact match over closest match over "also contains'

i realize its a lot to ask and just think it should be on the long term agenda to be looked into since internal searches are important

thats what ive done in the past didnt like ningfs searcheither and yes i realize that relevence ius a tricky thing but a psuedo relevence would help as in ranking exact match above others
as an extremne exampole
searching for a user named jo

78 pages of results starting with bob johnson maryjo john jon jimmy jones
jo was on page 74

searching something very specific like ~love~
should only get 1 result
but it got 2 the 1st was titled Aug 2010 Cry Vtx 025
absolutely irelevent

i looked into self hosted full site indexing solutions but havent found 1 that wasnt hideous
the non self hosted were outragiosly expensive

googles excelent but typicaly at best indexes only 1/2 the content on your site

honnestly i cant remember when they stopped working i dont remember seeing it in awhile possibly when i switched to site builder i diont know

filezillas the best id stick with that
some servers use username pass others use username@domainname.com

and when in doubt i always default to the main ip

u maybe even able to login to ftp or sftp as root and have access to every account (careful tho u also have access to system files)

glad it wasnt just me and that i saw this beforee posting i wasnt sure wether to post it here or in sitebuilder
but since it affected profiles i figured had tobe a ningja skin issue

speaking of wich
since we now can alow profiles to change skins
but only ningja skins are really ning compastable

and without a developer code we cant package skins
is there any way to share skins among ning users so that we can offer profiles multiple ning skin options without having to create many ourselves

or... if we could submit our skins to be added to a "ning alternates" skin bundle that would update with the core ningja skin

1st person that enabled a skin i had to reset as it screwed upo the menu and everything

i have no tag cloudss inprofiles anymore (sitebuilder ningja)
i dont know how to add a sitewide tag clouse to home page
not in sitebuilder

but there is no tag cloud in the profiles anymore
