Updating?

Using Jamroom

I should know the answer to this by now but :) do I need to back anything up before upgrading to the latest version of the Documentation module? I have extensive customisation on the Doc mod templates that I don't want to lose.

Two Questions About Documentation Module

Using Jamroom

I am trying to utilize the Documentation module to develop an online language course (in Cymraeg). I have two questions:-

1. I have removed some of the module tabs by adding {jrProfile_disable_module_tabs} to the templates. This works on some pages/templates and not on others. Is there a way to make it universal?

2. Is it possible to develop a custom sidebar for the entire module? I imagine this would involve designing a new template and calling it from the other module templates?

Here are two pages from the module as currently amended. One with and one without module tabs.

https://americymru.net/americymru/documentation/nouns (no tabs)
https://americymru.net/americymru/documentation/verbs/345/anghofio-to-forget (still got tabs)

Hi Strumelia....sorry to post here on a completely unrelated topic but I was wondering how I could get hold of you about this blog:- https://americymru.net/chris-jones/blog/4870/searching-for-songs

As you can see Chris is interested in collecting Welsh folk songs that may have made it across the Atlantic and been preserved here despite subsequently dying out back home in Wales. I wondered if this would be something that might be of interest to you and your members?

If you scroll to the bottom of the above linked page you will see a Disqus comment which suggests that Chris should concentrate his search in the Appalachian region. That is where you are based, yes?

Please let me know your thoughts.

RE Ning Membership Data .csv

Perfect!!!! Thanks Strumelia. It will be a lot of work to manually import everything post april 2014 but at least I know it can be done properly :)

Congratulations on your new site by the way. I was looking at it the other day :)

RE Ning Membership Data .csv

Ning To Jamroom

One further question occurs to me.....since I would need to cut and paste everything post April 2014 inevitably all that material would appear on my profile. Is there a way to change ownership of individual blogs, photos and forum posts in the database after I have posted them. In other words can I manually re post everything from the last 15 months and then re assign it to the original posters id?

Just checked the member id thing {"id":"1iqlnejpymuri"," appears to be my user id which suggests that the string referenced above is indeed the member ID ?

RE Ning Membership Data .csv

One thing that occurs to me immediately....can the current memberdata be imported together with the year old backup? i.e. can I drop the old member list json in favour of the current .csv using your import file AND then import the old blog, forum etc json's from 2014.?
