When I started making my Jamroom site I really struggled with the idea of "profile-centric" and didnt like it at all-unfortunately now that I am near the end of making my site I have a better understanding of how "profile-Centric" works and I REALLY like it...BUT I have built many pages outside of profiles....today I am creating a custom profile menu THAT ALSO opens these items in the User profile ( I will still keep the outside pages I created)

Like I said I really like it now that I understand better...but my question is if a user is not a member...how do they find the content if its in profiles...sorry wish I could ask this question better...maybe I don't quite understand as well as I would like...If I had not changed so much on my site I could just use the default settings and see how it works...but I have made to many changes...so my question is how do non member viewers find the content on member profiles...

Main Site Navigation Question

How do I remove items from the main site navigation in the site header WITHOUT losing the pages?
I have created pages here using the MENU icon in Site Builder ( mainly because its the only way I can find to create pages that allow me access to [*code*] in the editor- if I use page creator I do not have this access in the editor- I suppose the reason for this is if you are allowing members to create pages ( I dont) then you do not want them to have this much access...

Anyways making the pages in the Menu works great- until you want to remove them from the menu navigation- then for some reason the page is still visible to me BUT not to anyone else - they get a "page Not Found" error...maybe this is a quota setting somewhere? ( these quotas are really kicking my butt)

Something I have been thinking about lately...
On Ning 2.0 we choose from a selection of Ning themes then customize them the way we want...we have access to that code in the Ning-Advanced tabs in our editors there

Why can we not use that code as a skin for Jamroom sites right off- then use the DOCs to add the Site Builder to a custom skin?

Not sure if this could be done directly- or if it would involve importing your Ning content to JrNingja- THEN making the custom changes using the Ning 2.0 current theme-OR if it could even be done at all...food for thought
Be nice if a few clicks had imported ning sites looking 90% like they do on Ning already with Site Builder installed...

Thanks Michael and UJ! I study this stuff and try to wrap my mind around it and seem to get really close at times...just not quite there...oh...this works perfect. I will try to spend more time trying to understand the wildcard now I can understand its usefulness and how its applied in a template

Question- it it possible that the Youtube_Tags and the Vimeo_Tags in the datastore are referring to 'tags that can be imported with the video" and NOT referring to jrTags that are added after import?

I have not seen youtube tags imported yet but have seen Vimeo tags imported

I agree 15% is not bad...I guess...but I have been more active myself against spammers than most sites for years
If you are a girl in mid 20s, single with a busty photo and your profile says you are a recovering nymphomanaic who has turned to social networking as a means to deal with her affliction...I mean many are easy to spot if you just look before approving- why would a girl in New York be interested in my site?
Don't flatter yourself- just deny them
Same for spammer profile photos that often use images like Gravitars- just deny them
Total number of members has never been more importanst than total QUALITY members

Thanks UJ- I see from the Docs i can add up to 25 search items so i will go int the datastore and give this a try- just got confused why jrTags were only working in one video type
