Ahhhhhhh. A close look sees syntax error on the order_by - using non-existent names for things.

— instead of –

The first is shift-option-underscore the second is option-underscore. Depending on the editor and browser you are using these get rendered identically.

Fixed. Works. Closing this down.

IDs mixed up...?

By Groups I mean Group Discussions, not the site-wide forum. I posted yesterday, Order by on Group Discussions. In looking at this I realized that the URLs were malformed and that was more important than fixing the order_by.

I have a number of old Ning groups in my JR5 community that I don't want to delete because the archive content is valuable.

However, the groups are moribund and don't attract any traffic or new contributions.

Is there a way make a group read-only?

Just to be clear. Where is site builder getting the module name from? The URL in the module info page or the menu name in the module's language file?

I am guessing it's the URL in the module info page -- but as I say, just making sure.

No. It did not. It ended up directing me to the following page:

http://www.thechocolatelife.com/clay/group_discuss/3/

which is a single discussion - see the screenshot.

And I have to admit I am still not getting the hang of the module hierarchy. I instinctively thought jrGroup, but jrGroupDiscuss.

But, I guess, this element is in each Group's page so it has to sit up one level above what happens within each discussion.

I have reverted the change if you go looking.
