Pages imported from Ning - viewable, properties editable?

The pages imported don't show up when I Browse pages, when I click on Pages in the top nav, or (though they appeared to be assigned to the root admin account), in my profile. I can see that they have been imported when I go to the Page Group Config module.

Is there a way to look at or edit pages without having to assign them to a group - most of them are standalone.

Home Page - Replacing Top Discussions with Forum > Newest Posts

Okay, so this is really about duplicating a Ning functionality but it makes the most sense for my community,

I want to replace the Top Discussions block on the home page with the Forums > Newest Posts that is labeled Discussions in the Top Nav (but should probably be labeled Forum (and how do I change that?).

Image Galleries - Suppress gallery name/length, order by

When the length of the gallery name, image name, and member exceeds a certain length, the image flow gets interrupted, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.

I can go in to the data browser and edit instances that cause the problem but that's a level of data hygiene I don't want to go into.

I really don't need to see the gallery names and the presence of large numbers there (evidence of people posting single images) is duplicative in many cases.

How do I suppress the gallery name in the listing?

Secondly,

When I do go in and edit a gallery name, the image datestamp gets modified and it moves to the front position. I really don't want this to happen.

Limit quotas to select from on create account

Still learning my way around the basis.

The modularity/consistency makes a whole lot of sense but it takes a while to cotton to.

When I click on Create Account a user asking to sign up is given the choice of selecting from the available quotas including the admin quota.

Is there any way to hide quotas that you don't want people to see and choose from?

Profile comments appear to be missing on import

I don't know how many user profiles have comments - but I know that my profile has many. They are not visible after the import.

Comments are activated in the User Comments module but not before the import.

Changing the height of the header

I did a selector search and nothing came back. It is there in the untagged section now that I look for it,

however ...

when I uploaded the style sheet afresh (by reloading Skins/Styles) it does not show the value I entered by hand into the CSS and the pop-select list only offers values in the range of 0-50px in single pixel increments.

The default value in the style sheet is 75px and my new value is 140x, so that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either.

Okay, I can see where that's useful. Searching the documentation does not help me to know how to fill out the following fields on the Vimeo side:

App Name:
App Description (does this get displayed to members?):
App URL:

I don't need a logo URL or callback URL - right?

Embed Vimeo videos using URLs? Why not?

Changing the height of the header

Thanks for the pointer.

This class does not appear to accessible from the style editor in the ACP. So I downloaded all the CSS files and searched to find the .spacer class in header.css. I edited the CSS locally and uploaded.

It's also necessary to set the #header height (also in header.css) to the same value as .spacer, keeping in mind that the ACP UI only allows you to set the #height value in 5px increments.

Next step will be to upload a new logo image to replace the default and get it sized and placed properly.
