Jamroom Help

chorton581:
I guess my wish list was just to big so i took a different approach and added a second chart to my home page.
Not really the solution i had in mind but it will work for now
http://versionist.net/

i use the proJam template settings to control the bottom album box.
I use a clone of that to control the reset of the site etc.

Thanks for everyone who tried to help.

That is pretty much how I would have done it.

Nice!

Installation and Configuration

Did you checkout the readme file for the skin, there are some skin config settings you need to setup for the skin to work properly, ie. main profile id, main profile name etc...

kostasdaris.com/skins/jrSoloArtist/readme.html

Note that the main profile page can have two menus or one, this is set in the skin settings.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

Bundle Purchase

Installation and Configuration

On your website, go to the ACP > Marketplace > Tools > Marketplace Systems, click the modify button for the "The Jamroom Network" entry. The fields should have the following:

Marketplace Name: The Jamroom Network

Marketplace URL: https://www.jamroom.net

Marketplace Email: The email address found in your Account Settings > Licenses here on jamroom.net

Marketplace System ID: The marketplace ID found in your Account Settings > Licenses here on jamroom.net

After that is setup, click the Marketplace module in your ACP on your site, you should then see the modules that you have purchased and should be able to install them, same with the skins.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

Pre Sales questions

Using Jamroom

There is really no upgrade from 4 to 5.

You'll install JR5, in a separate directory than JR4, then you can import your profiles, users and media from your JR4 install. After that you can make sure your JR5 site is setup the way you want it before removing your JR4 install and possibly moving your JR5 site to your root if you so desire.

Pre Sales questions

Using Jamroom

Also, we provide services for installing and importing your Jamroom 4 site. Jamroom 4 skins and modules will not work with Jamroom 5.

Pre Sales questions

Using Jamroom

Hello,

1. Yes, there is an audio genre field.

2. Yes, the skins are setup to change colors within the ACP (Admin Control Panel)

3. Yes, however Jamroom 5 uses a FoxyCart module, you may want to check this out before making your move. https://www.jamroom.net/download/search?q=FoxyCart

4. This would depend on which modules/bundle you'll need to run your site. Jamroom 5 is a module setup now, even the core is a module. The core is free and then you can either purchase the modules you need...

https://www.jamroom.net/download/modules

or a bundle that would save you some money....

https://www.jamroom.net/download/bundles

5. Jamroom 5 can be setup for multiple languages but there is only a Spanish and English file right now, we can't translate the file for obvious reason, but there are instructions on how to translate and setup the links in the skins readme file.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

Installation and Configuration

Yeah, just send an email to support so Brian can take a look.

Something isn't right as that module should be included with the bundle and you should be able to install it from your Marketplace.

Please can someone assist with this

Using Jamroom

Yes, Steve is correct, there are a lot of unclosed p tags, but I'm not sure where they are coming from.

You might mention this to Nate because his site has the same issue.

Installation and Configuration

So your saying you can not download/install form your sites Marketplace now?

Is your install up to date?

Marketplace > System Updates

If it is, you might try reloading the core and market place modules and see if that helps.

Invalid template: jrSolo_audio_player.tpl

Installation and Configuration

Yes, it should be included in the bundle and you need it to use the jrSoloArtist skin, that is where the templates are for the players.

Are you downloading/installing it from your Marketplace on your site?

Thanks,
Douglas
