Diff tool

Its used so you can compare templates between updates. If your server allows the use of the file, then you should see a "Compare" button in the templates tab for modules and skins.

That artist has not uploaded an artist image....

That image is the default image used when an artist has not uploaded an image, therefore they will not show on your artist page.

Make sure your other artists that have just signed up have uploaded an image.

I don't really have a site that I can setup the module on since my sites are just test sites.

Are you seeing any php errors or debug log entries?

Try reloading the module from your ACP > Markteplace > Tools > Reload Modules And Skins on the site that doesn't work, then run the Integrity Check Tool and Clear Cache Tool to see if that fixes the issue.
