$smarty.now returns the current date and time (in Unix time) so the above is just adding a search option to the function that lists events to say "only return events whose date is greater than 'now'". See https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/development/89/jrcore-list then modify the template(s) to suit. The template might be the prevent/templates/item_index.tpl and/or it might be in your active skin (depends on what skin you are using).

As admin, goto http://yoursite.com/user/signup and click on the Form Designer button top right.

Using the Form Designer to set a default value and/or make the field 'required' might do it.

Hi Eddy - This is something to do with the Combined Audio and Video modules you have installed. I've disabled them for now and all the media buttons show as appropriate.
I'll try to emulate your set up here to see what the issue is.

This is working ok for me. Are you up to date with the latest jrLike module? - A lot of workin has been done on it recently.
Are you using both Like and Dislike, or one or the other?
Are you trying to like your own item, or someone else's?
Help us to try and replicate this issue.
