Create a RSS Feed

Installation and Configuration

Have just looked at the jrFeed module code and it doesn't seem that this can currently be done.
The module is pretty old and hasn't been updated in a while. I'll look to see if extra search features can be added easily.

No index.php or something in core.zip?

Installation and Configuration

Hi - Welcome to Jamroom.

Yes, that is right, there is no index.php file, the .htaccess file takes care of all the routing.
Just upload everything you have, including the .htaccess file (hidden in your listing) to your server and open the url in your browser. It all should happen.
Hope that helps

New Install Jamroom core 5

Installation and Configuration

I have already replied to this here - https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/new_posts/31872/installation-of-core-537 - please keep to one thread per issue, it makes things easier :-)

All Jamroom5 skins are fully responsive hence 'mobile ready'.

Installation of core 5.37

Installation and Configuration

Hi - Welcome back to Jamroom.
Did you upload all of the modules and skins that came in the free download from here - https://www.jamroom.net/download ?
If not, delete the /data/config/config.php file and the database, upload all the files and try again.
If you did and are not seeing an index page after the install, something went wrong. Were there any messages to that effect?

After a successful install and creation of the first (admin) account, setup the marketplace via the Admin Control Panel then you'll be able to install more modules and skins (free and purchased).

groups, no join or follow, but nonmembers can comment?

1) Now after the updates it's true that I cannot post to a normal group's DISCUSSIONS...but I can still post on the Group's Comment Wall...I should not be able to do that- it encourages non-group members to simply start 'discussions' on the comment wall instead of joining the group.

I'm not seeing that on my test site - in fact I specifically added code to the module to fix this. Try clearing your caches?

2) IMHO the biggest problem is still there as bad as ever- as a regular member, after i merely APPLY to join a PRIVATE group and am still PENDING (not approved) I can then go back again to the group's page and suddenly I can see everything in the group, read everything, and post on the comment wall and post in the discussions, even add a discussion....all in the PRIVATE Group without having been approved as a member yet.
Funny thing is now after your updates as a non group member I cannot now post in a regular group's discussion threads...but i CAN do so in a Private Group that I dont even belong to yet. !!

I have this fixed (hopefully!!). Get the latest version (1.3.4) from the marketplace.
