Take a look at the jrNingImport signup_questions.tpl template file. It is that that lists all the questions and answers in the Ningja sidebar, so you can add filters to that ({if}{/if}) to just show the info required.

Easiest would be just to turn off the display of questions and answers in the Ningja skin settings.

Your import hasn't been done yet. All I did was upload your archive to the server ready for import so you will not be seeing any Ning content yet. Just mentioning this in case you are expecting this!!

Also, in Ningja, in the profile_sidebar.tpl template file the latest followers listing is limited to 25 so you can edit that if you want.

Are you asking for an 'over-ride' feature so that you can run custom versions of those binaries?

I don't think what you are trying there can be made to work, and even if it could, people could keep retrying until they hit lucky!!
What would be needed is a (simple) custom module that 'listens' for the signup form and rejects it it the codeword isn't right. Checkout this documentation on building a module - https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/development/26/creating-a-module

Alternatively, why not just pre-create all your users then tell them their user names and passwords?

BTW - Jamroom Hosting is now open to all so you can goto your profile page and 'spin up' your server. When done, upload the archive to it as per the Ning to Jamroom docs.

I've not done a Ning archive download myself but from what I see there, and from what I know about the structure of the archive, I would guess that the actual Members/Groups/Discussions will still be there in the .json files, but for whatever reason, the associated images for those Members/Groups/Discussions could not be included in the archive.
The upshot is that all Members/Groups/Discussions will be imported but some of them will have missing images.
So you could Retry the download of the archive with the missing images (and likely get the same result) or just live with a few missing images on your JR site - you can always upload new ones when on JR!!
