Thanks Dave - I'll check that out and see if it can be replicated here.

Problem with events all listing

Using Jamroom

Is your site ssl? I recently switched a site that had this module working to ssl and it stopped working.
I advised Steve at UltraJam about it.

editing pages after moving them from profile to visible on main page?

Ning To Jamroom

Deb - Douglas is right, but what I posted is where your Page Browser is ;-)

Ning To Jamroom

All pages that are 'visible on main pages' are accessible via the ACP -

ACP=>Site=>Page Creator=>Tools=>Browse

Looking to migrate a Ning network

Ning To Jamroom

Hi Paul - Thanks for the enquiry.

Quote: 1. Is there a detailed list of what is and what is not migrated when a Ning network is imported into Jamroom?
I've recently posted this on the 'ExCreators' forum - It answers this question (unfortunately have not found a place for it here on jamroom.net yet!!) -

http://excreators.com/community/forums/topic/85/ning-2-3-to-jamroom-what-you-need-to-know

Quote: 2. Specifically to add to question 1, would the 'likes' within group posts be retained? We have a very important ranking system with a couple of our groups that rely on 'likes'.
I didn't realise Ning had a 'likes' system. None of the other many Ning migrants here have ever mentioned it. I've also never seen any evidence of it in any of the Ning archives I've imported so assume that if there is a Ning 'likes' system, they fail to include it in their archives. Maybe it is a third party add-on?
So, the answer to this is 'no', 'likes' within group posts are not retained

Quote: 3. Can you confirm that there is a 'like' system (either natively or by add-on) in Jamroom. If needs be, we have a note of the relevant 'likes', so it wouldn't be a deal breaker if we can't import likes, so long as we can start adding them on the migrated site
Yes, we have a Like module (that also includes optional 'dislikes') that can be attached to any Jamroom item, including Group posts.

Quote: 4. Can you clarify whether members have the ability to customise their own personal member profiles i.e something similar to the design studio in Ning 2.0?
We have a ProfileTweaks module that allows members to upload their own header logo, add a backgroud image and select their profile index page. They can also select between all Jamroom skin options so they do have a choice of several 'fixed' styles.

We have several hostings plans - https://www.jamroom.net/hosting - all of which come with your own dedicated VPS server, Jamroom pre-installed, daily backups and VIP support. We also have services to import your Ning2 site for you.

Hope that helps

This might be a design question. How do I go about placing the timeline...

Design and Skin Customization

Open the widget editor, select the widget type as 'Item List', then in the List Module field, select 'Timeline'.
Then add other parameters to taste :-)

New module causes white screen

Jamroom Developers

Have just looked at your code. Call the function

"function smarty_function_myBackTime_elapsed_time($params, $smarty)"

Then call it from the template as

{myBackTime_elapsed_time timestamp=$item._created}
