Tobias 'Toby Pro' 5 string fretless bass.
Don't play any of them much these days. More into my fiddles, cajun accordion and mandolins ;-)

missing an item key?

Ning To Jamroom

The Developer module doesn't have a datastore which explains that error.
Did you type that URL by hand? There should be no way to click to it via the ACP.
If you have found a way, let us know - its wrong!!

Ning To Jamroom

So to be clear, you have run the Delete Media tool and you are looking at what's left?

Quoting text and Editing comments in forum posts

Ning To Jamroom

Just a thought - You are not quoting 'by hand' are you?

If you grab a section of text from the forum it'll look like this -

They have to be edited out or they will appear in my response when I save my comment. - See more at: https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/ning-to-jamroom/23282/quoting-text-and-editing-comments-in-forum-posts#sthash.DYU5xABM.dpuf

I'm wondering if that bit at the end - #sthash.DYU5xABM.dpuf - translates to strange characters?

after final import any hope for duplicate photo deletes

Ning To Jamroom

brian:
Are you running the latest Ning Import? Paul has added code in there to watch for duplicates in the Ning Archives.

I don't think that is what SE is talking about. The latest Ning Import release will trap duplicate items in the Ning archives, which is yet another Ning anomaly recently found .

SE - You talking about those photos left over in the archive after deleting all files that have been copied to JR? If so, those left should all be referenced in imported comments etc. I not sure what any others might be. If Ning has put a load there that are not needed for the import, there's not much JR can do about it.
Or am I mis-understanding?

YouTube Module Start Time

Jamroom Developers

All the module will do if that URL is entered is try to extract the 11 character youtube ID. It does not accept any further parameters.
But the error is because its a youtu.be domain. If you enter the equivalent url, its ok -

Filezilla and Firewalls

Installation and Configuration

Not sure what might be happen there. I've used FZ for years and never had any issues, even when connected to a GoDaddy server.

But what I will say is that you've no need to use FZ to upload your Ning Bundle. Just setup the Marketplace in your Admin Control Panel and install the entire bundle from there with just one click. Seejamroom marketplace system

How do I start?

Using Jamroom

Strumelia:
To add to that- Lora, if you have an archive, you can import everything, and then delete all the stuff and features you DONT wnat right in you JR site- just another way of doing it. I removing all my ning blogs from my JR site, for example.

Just one comment on that - If you remove just some blogs, or any imported items or profiles in JR, then do an 'up-to-date' import just prior to going live, you're liable to get them back again!!
If you don't want again blogs on your JR site, say, just don't import them.

Long gone I'm afraid. I tend not to keep user passwords longer than needed.
