Strumelia - As you are still in development, what I suggest you do is set the name of a new 'Forum Group' in Ning Import config then run the Group Discussion import again (set to 'create'). This will import all that previously went to the forum module to that new Forum Group.
Each 'topic' will be a group discussion with all the posts. All existing Jamroom users will automatically be members of the new group.
You can then run both the forum and the Forum Group at the same time to see which you prefer. You can even set the Forum Group's URL in the Ningja skin settings instead of the forum one so that the forum menu link goes to the group.

You're probably right. Gallery was one of the first modules after we started JR5 and then we couldn't conceive of anyone with more than 500 photos!!
Brian has seen the ticket and is fixing it up as we speak.

Seriously, I think we re going to have to freeze the Ning Import module, feature wise, now, particularly as more Ningsters are now making the move so as not to give them any more issues and decisions like this.

You're right. Have just looked at the gallery module code and there are hard limits of 500.
We can probably change that to a larger number. I guess we never envisaged galleries of that size until you Ningsters came along
I'll raise a ticket to get it done.
You should be able to change the names of both galleries independently though to what you what now.

If you work it out, its the same number of clicks to get a specific arrangement whether the arrow is up or down. I've often pondered the same thing

Correct. The forums work differently to the comments system which made it not practical to forums threaded.
You could re-import your group discussions to a 'forum group' and use that as the site forum, but you would then lose posts made since going live.

I've just looked at http://www.thechocolatelife.com/vera-hofman/gallery/unsorted-images/all and http://www.thechocolatelife.com/vera-hofman/gallery/vera-hofman/all side by side and I'm not seeing any common images.
Not checked every image go course, but a few picked at random were not common.
