Can I use Jamroom for this?

Using Jamroom

Indirectly, yes. They would signup for free to a quota with minimum functionality, then subscribe to another quota that gave them full functionality. You, as Admin, are in full control of what functionality is available to different quotas.
Checkout the jrFoxyCart module as this provides the subscription tools, as well as providing digital sales.

Can I use Jamroom for this?

Using Jamroom

"Yes" and "Yes" !!

Welcome to the Jamroom forum.
To be more specific, with all Jamroom modules you have full control over the language strings used, as well as the layout of the module item info via a built in template editor. This means that you can configure the Audio module as a 'Beats' module pretty easily. You can also change its url name so that 'beats' shows in URLs instead of 'audio' so that your site would be fully 'search engine optimised'.
The Jamroom search engine is also very flexible and can be configured to search for genres (as well as anything else).
Hope that helps.

Audio Conversion not working for custom module

Jamroom Developers

Your topic title suggests a custom module so can you give more information on what you are doing and how you are trying to use the audio conversion in a custom module?
Thanks

New Artist

The profile variable $_created is the time the profile was created. You can maybe use that in templates with the smarty {math} function to do things?

Just thought - Did you import your JR4 site to JR5? If so, take a look at your profile datastore to see if the location info made it through. If so, you may be able to use that.

Were you using the 'band_location' field in JR4 to do this.
There is no equivalent field by default in JR5. You'll need to create one as described above.

First of all, you'll need to know where your profiles are located. The simplest way would be to create a custom form field for the profile update view and get them to enter their location.
Alternatively, checkout the jrGeo module or SteveX's Google maps module to see if they can automatically create a profile location field(s) from the users' IP address.
When you then have a location field, you can then use it in the appropriate jrCore_list function to filter the searches accordingly.
