Ning To Jamroom

After a lot of searching for what could be going wrong (I setup a duplicat of fotmd here on a dev site but could not recreate the issue.)

I think I found the way to fix it.
ACP -> CORE -> SYSTEM CORE -> TOOLS -> RESET CACHES -> RESET SELECTED CACHES.

That seams to sort out the issue.

Documentation suggestions

This is great stuff! Thanks @charles-brady :)

--edit--
I'll try to work the answers to these into the flow of new user docs. For the individual not yet figured out questions, open a thread in the forum for each and we can tackle them one at a time.

Udemy have put the course back up again, :)

Its here:
"Start your own online community"
https://www.udemy.com/start-your-own-online-community

and if you can put the docs suggestions here that would work:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/suggestions/33791/documentation-suggestions

Thanks.

Unable to switch active domains - please try again

Jamroom Hosting

Looks like it didn't get installed for some reason, If it was me, the first thing I'd try would be delete it and re-add it.

Portuguese language for Jamroom

Design and Skin Customization

Im not aware of any Portuguese translations.

You can add another language to the system by going to
site.com/user/create_language

as the admin, then you can translate the text on the LANGUAGE tab of the skin or modules.

css minifier breaks with a particular rule

Design and Skin Customization

Got a tracker open for this here:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/tracker/1742/css-minifier-not-compressing-correctly

The work around option would be to attach it as its own sheet, but you knew that already. It should work. Thanks for letting us know about it. :)

Increasing the size of the fonts on the site

Using Jamroom

CTRL++ will increase the font size shown in your browser.

As will ctrl+(mouse wheel up).

If you want to do it for everyone, then you can change the CSS for your site to make it bigger. Where depends on what your skin has it set to. and whether you want to change it just for the forum, or everywhere.

--edit--
for everywhere, you're probably after:
ACP -> SKINS -> YOUR SKIN -> STYLE -> "style section" (site.css) -> SITE CONTENT -> font-size.

Remember me cookie problems

Using Jamroom

Without a way to see it happening we can only guess at it. I've not seen this happening it always works fine here.

The only guess I can think of is:
* do you have both an https:// address and a http:// address? If so, then if visit the http:// site then it will show as not logged in. Going to the https:// site fixes it.

eg:
here on jamroom.net if I go to this page on the http site, I'm not logged in.

http ://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/new_posts/33734/remember-me-cookie-problems
https ://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/new_posts/33734/remember-me-cookie-problems

but on the https site I am. Now I always go to the https site and its all working as expected.

Cant think of any other guesses that seam plausible.
