Logo issues

Using Jamroom

when you uploaded the new image under it you would see the dimentions eg: 559 x 320

go to:
ACP -> SKINS -> NOVA -> TEMPLATES -> header.tpl -> MODIFY

and on line 38 you will find:
{jrCore_image image="logo.png" width="325" height="75"

change the width and height to what your after.

Also remove the
style="max-width:325px;max-height:75px;"
from that same line.

click SAVE CHANGES.

Go back to the TEMPLATES list screen and activate it.

My posts not showing in Timeline viewed by others?

Using Jamroom

check that the admin user is in a profile that is allowed to use the forum.

Thats the only thing that jumps to mind.

I'm on family vacation right now out of the country so dont have my development system with me here. If its still a problem in a couple of weeks, I can setup to look at it then,

YouTube Videos - multiple opportunities to rage quit

Ning To Jamroom

Lynnbird:...Wouldn't it be more secure to use my domain as the sole referrer?...

Sure do that if you want to limit it to one domain.

I use my one key on all my sites. I just don't let anyone know what my key is, so that's safe enough for my liking.

Worst case scenario: you give your key to someone and they use it to use the youtube API to embed videos.

Facebook style timeline of people you follow?

Suggestions

Thats what happens now. When the user is looking at their own timeline they see all the stuff of the people they follow. When someone else looks at their timeline they see just the stuff that that user posted.

See here:
https://www.jamroom.net/michael/action

When you look at my timeline, you see only stuff I have posted, but when i look at it I see that and also people I follow, like @paul's posts and @n8flash's posts.

Like twitter.

You could build that out to be the top page of the site and pull from the users profile, but its not designed like that.

Facebook is a social network connected by relationships, Jamroom is more of a social network connected by topic where relationships can form.

so the focus is a bit different.

Images on a private profile

Using Jamroom

I'm out of the contry for a couple of weeks right now so dont have my full dev machine with me.

I've created a tracker for the issue here so it doesnt get lost:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/tracker/1678/private-image-consistency-across-display-methods

and will try to figure it out on my laptop if possible.

--edit--
you shouldnt need to add the v_ manually. If its needed the processes should be adding it.

Thanks for finding it, sorry for the hassle.

update on large file upload issues

Ning To Jamroom

ah.

http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E413.html
Quote: The Web server (running the Web site) thinks that the HTTP data stream sent by the client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) was simply too large i.e. too many bytes. What constitutes 'too many bytes' depends partly upon the operation being attempted. For example a request to upload a very large file (via the HTTP PUT method) may encounter a ceiling on upload file size set by the Web server.

think that last line is a hint: "....set by the Web server....."

Points to a server setting.
