Menu

Using Jamroom

I've added some more checks to try to better catch the active menu item in jrMenu 1.0.3.

All locations should be hilighted now.

So discontented NING user here and questions I have about Jamroom

Using Jamroom

JeffH:...I was on the selection of Newest Posts and not in a specific forum area. But there is an add post there, just clicked on it and wasn't thinking. Might want to get rid of that add post when a person is just browsing NEWEST POSTS.

Thanks for that, I'll look into it.

white board? How do we remove Jamroom logos from our site?

Using Jamroom

If you're talking about the footer text "©2014 The Jamroom Network", then its in the footer.tpl file of the skin your using.

If you're wanting to swap the skins logo for your community logo, you can do that from the IMAGES tab of the skin your using.

Just not much description and information on the marketplace offerings...so why blindly spend money?

Design and Skin Customization

We'll get a demo up as soon as we have a good example of a conversion. There's too much development going on in this area to get a demo up yet.

Hold off for a bit.

Need examples of modules/skins in marketing.

Suggestions

Yep, it would be good to have all the modules everybody needs all perfectly documented with elaborate examples and screenshots. Totally agree.

But there's only 4 people on the team and we have limited time. So yeah the documentation could be better and the marketing could be better but we mainly choose to focus on getting the code better.

If you ask a specific question in the forums its usually answered. If your volunteering to help, cool how would you like to? If its just a criticism, then its noted.

Thanks.

trouble with Smiley Module - thanks for any help!

Using Jamroom

Strumelia:....you can see that my "Admin Hover Menu" module is plastering itself over my smiley drop menu....

This is fixed now. It was kind of a clash. The "Admin Hover Menu" didn't check for ajax loaded stuff and the smiley module didn't say it was loading via ajax. Updated both modules, its in the marketplace now. Update your system and you should be good to go.

Nice one @Strumelia. If your interested in the development side of things, you won't out-grow Jamroom.

Maybe the developers course for you next? ;)

Profile verification not working for members

Ning To Jamroom

The alternative to having your server send the email is the mailgun plugin:

"Mailgun Email Plugin"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/57/mailgun-email-plugin

"Documentation for Mailgun plugin"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/modules/282/mailgun-smtp

My local server cant send emails, but with that plugin installed into jamroom it can.

The free mailgun.com plan allows up to 300 emails to be sent per day so its probably plenty.
