Using Jamroom

I know they are not working on your system. Something you have done to your system has caused a breakage in the CSS file. You can clear that breakage by doing what I suggested a few comments back:
michael:
Try going into your phpmyadmin for your site.

Locate the 'jr_jrcore_skin' directory and clear out the skin_custom_css value for the skin you are using.

This will reset the changes done in the CSS panel.

Update to the latest version of things and apply the wanted changes again.

If you can reproduce the error after that, tell me the steps to do it, so I can do it on my site. Then I will be able to diagnose the problem because I will have debugging equipment in place.

User Play Control (Limit Certain Quotas On Downloads)

Using Jamroom

There are a couple of limit modules in the modules area:

https://www.jamroom.net/download/search?q=limit

Not sure if either of those are what your after or not.

Rebase - Developer Tools Question

Installation and Configuration

It will have the same effect as:
* renaming the most current version of the module from:
- jrXxxxxxxx-release-1.5.25
to
- jrXxxxxxxx

instead of doing that manually. That's all it does.

Install problems with 1 and 1 hosting

Jamroom Hosting

mick303:
1 and 1 is saying its your end so were thinking of changing the host server can you recommend a host where were not going to run into any problems as it will save us all a lot of time and trouble ..

Arvixe have offered to get some of their support staff up to speed with the Jamroom system and be active here in the Jamroom forums.
http://www.arvixe.com/jamroom-hosting

So that's probably the recommended one right now.

Coupon code: jamroom (for 20% off).

It probably can be made to work with 1and1, we just need to figure out what the server is complaining about, then fix it so its happy.

Previously I have seen this issue when the .zip file is uploaded to the server then decompressed on the server. The files need their permissions changed to match what the server wants.

The solution in that case is to unpack the jamroom.zip file on your local machine then upload it in the unpacked state.

Merchandise store not visible

Installation and Configuration

randolph:...I did enable it...
What did you enable?

If you don't want to use the jrFoxyCart module, then the only other option available is

"PayPal Buy It Now"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/104/paypal-buy-it-now

That is not a merchandise store though. The jrStore module:

"Merchandise Store"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/78/merchandise-store
Quote: Requires the FoxyCart eCommerce module is installed and working.

no, i need steps to recreate the problem, not on your server, on my server.

what do you mean ?

I mean "Tell me the steps to take to reproduce the problem" don't just say "there is a problem, here look you can see it."

Show me how you got to that problem. I will then follow your guide and reproduce the problem on my server where I am able to debug it.

Merchandise store not visible

Installation and Configuration

You have to enable it for the quota that they are in.

You'll find that on the QUOTA CONFIG tab of the module that provides the merchandise store.

Install problems with 1 and 1 hosting

Jamroom Hosting

The problem is a '500 Internal Server Error error'.

That just means your server needs to be setup in a different way to allow the files to run.

Its the server thats throwing that error, not jamroom. So the first thing to look at is to make sure your server meets the requirements for running jamroom:

"Requirements"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/getting-started/774/requirements

Then go check the servers error_log to see what its complaining about. The error log will give you the file that is causing the 500 error.
