Documentation Comments

Suggestions

Interesting thought. I expected the comments to be used like:

You could add this in to make it better: "Proin arcu velit, gravida vel massa molestie, sollicitudin porta odio. Donec aliquam placerat est at adipiscing. Phasellus varius erat in est feugiat, in blandit augue sagittis. In scelerisque odio dui, ultricies consequat est vestibulum nec. "

Then delete the comment once it was in there. Too trusting?

"Developers Guide to Customizing Jamroom" udemy course

Jamroom Developers

The "Start your own Online Community" course is up and under way.
http://udemy.com/start-your-own-online-community

So the next thing I want to get going is another course for developers.

Initial title is:
"Developers Guide to Customizing Jamroom"

I would like to find some developers to help me with the structure.

What do you want to know first, what are some of the things your getting stuck on now? etc...

So if there's any developers who would be willing to work with me on this, please jump in here.

I think the goal is
* to take developers who want to build modules to a point where they are comfortable selling and supporting their module in the marketplace
* to take skin designers from a point where they have a skin design and want to convert that over to a jamroom skin.

not sure if it should be 2 courses, but for now, its one.

Install - Parse Error - config.php on line 7

Installation and Configuration

total guess: is "enable magic quotes" on in you php.ini setting. That might possibly throw an extra \ in there.

Custom Skin Enhancement

Jamroom Developers

not that im aware of. Is the code getting output to the source?

If it isn't might need to clear the caches from the ACP or enable developer mode.

The other thing that could be making it not work would be a JS error earlier on in the code, so check firebug console for any javascript errors.

Custom Skin Enhancement

Jamroom Developers

Doug's the man for skin development, FWIW, if your only invoking document.ready on specific pages, there's no reason you can't put it in the .tpl files of the pages that your using it on.

Database - Integrity Check issues

Using Jamroom

Probably not a skin problem, seams like the something is causing it to get stuck on the core. are there any errors in the logs or javascript errors on screen?

That would be where I would focus my attention, on getting that integrity check fully done as the most likely cause of the issue.

First thing that comes to mind is a corrupt file in the FTP upload. Try uploading the core files again to see if that gets it.

you can click on the timeline on the player and drag it. (except for those button players, they just have play/pause.)
