Menu Customization

Design and Skin Customization

If you're talking about the items that appear on a profile, turning them off in the quota system will remove them from that profile.

Or you can hide them with CSS.

Or you can filter them out via the {jrProfile_menu} template function options

Email validation for new members, an incomplete error message, and incomplete activation link message

Using Jamroom

researchcooperative:
How does one automate a greeting message, and should it be as a comment on the public profile page or as a private note or some other way? I sometimes manually greet members with a comment on their public profile, signed Admin.
You would need to build a module for this that used the "Events and Listeners" system. That would allow you to understsand when something happens, like a new user signing up.

Then you would use your module to write a comment on their profile, or wherever.

Request - Audio url

Proxima

you have the _item_id there, that should be enough to get the info for the file along with the profile info that goes with it.

can you do a lookup on 1023 then format the url to site.com/profile_url/audio/(item id)/ (pretty title url)

under redirect rule browser

Using Jamroom

ah right. You want to take any requests coming in to:
http://www.dubmusic.com/bftd
and redirect them to:
http://www.dubmusic.com/bftd/...........

you could put a redirect into your skins profile_index.tpl
{jrCore_location('http://www.dubmusic.com/britains-finest-beatles-tribute-band-live-on-stage/uploaded_audio/albums/britains-finest-beatles-tribute-band-mixed-by-the-scientist')}

but that would redirect to that page from EVERY profile. so you'd need to check that the profile name is correct before putting that in.

probably:
{if $_profile_name_url == 'bftd'}
{jrCore_location('http://www.dubmusic.com/britains-finest-beatles-tribute-band-live-on-stage/uploaded_audio/albums/britains-finest-beatles-tribute-band-mixed-by-the-scientist')}
{/if}

but check with {debug} to make sure:

Landing page

Using Jamroom

you can use the jrRedirect module to redirect from one location to another. or the jrProfileTweaks module allows the profile owner to set a custom landing page.

Favicon on 'View Image' page

Using Jamroom

when an html page is loaded you can use html to set the favicon file. when its just an image file then there is no code to tell the browser what to show.

Download your favicon.ico file and upload it via SFTP to your server. Put it in the /public_html/favicon.ico location and it should be picked up.

Custom search

Using Jamroom

the first thing that jumps to mind for me is to use a {jrCore_list } call to filter by the solution you want.
{jrCore_list module="jrForum" search1="forum_solution =  solved"}

From there you could grab the requested solution from the url via $_post['solution'] where the url has /solution=solved/ in it
{jrCore_list module="jrForum" search1="forum_solution =  `$_post['solution']`"}

order them by the newest.

The search box from there might work, might need tweaking to work though too. not sure.

auto-approve followers checkbox not doing its job?

Using Jamroom

That is the correct wording, but you layout seams to be missing the small formatting, It should read

LARGE TEXT: "Followers Require Approval"
SMALLER TEXT: "Keep followers pending until my approval"

The first is the title, the second is the explanation.

You could change the language to however you like though from the LANGUAGE tab on the module in the ACP.

Ning no longer supports their Archiver tool for 2.0 networks

Ning To Jamroom

supported or working.

To me "supported" means they'd actively fix bugs if found. Not supported feels like it should mean "its staying in the state its in from now to eternity."

Or is it not working as in "you may want to leave, but you can't. lol". which is not as nice. :(
