Full width Image on the home page

Using Jamroom

Strumelia:
Maybe I'm wrong, but I suspect those images you are referencing are not header images, nor part of the header section.

Hi strumelia,

Thanks for your reply.

Yep, you are right, there are not header images. There are actually images on the home page, probably placed in the index.tpl. I have edited this post with the right title.

Thanks.

Full width Image on the home page

Using Jamroom

Hello,

I have been trying to add a full width image that will show on the home page only similar to the one found on http://eskin.n8flex.com/ and https://www.jamroom.net but without any success. The image doesn't go full width, it just remains in the center of the page and has the size of the page content.

In my skin index.tpl (Elastic), I have used the following code:

<div>
      <div>
		<a href="{$jamroom_url}/url-here"><img src="{$jamroom_url}/skins/{$_conf.jrCore_active_skin}/img/image-here.jpg" alt="Text here" title="Text here" width="1920" class="img_scale"></a>
    </div>
</div>

Can someone tell me what am I missing to get the image full width?

Thanks in advance

How to upload and search audio and video by date and location?

Using Jamroom

Hi Brian,

Thanks a lot. I have tried it, but it didn't work, nothing changed.

Through ftp (Filezila) , I went to modules/jrCore/lib/
In my ftp client, it took me to /modules/jrCore-release-5.4.0b2/lib/

Then I uploaded the edited file (util.php) to my server, cleared my cache and checked the Integrity, but nothing changed in the frontend.

Thanks

How to upload and search audio and video by date and location?

Using Jamroom

brian:
I don't believe anything has been done on this, but I can check it out. Looks like we need a setlocale() call before doing date format conversions, so will see if that is doable.
Thanks!

Thanks in advance Brian. I appreciate your help.

Profile menu available to visitors

Using Jamroom

Hello,

I have created a Quota and I would like all the profile menu items (Timeline, Audio, Blog, FAQ, Followers, Guestbook, Playlist, Video etc) of that specific quota to show to visitors (not-logged in users). Some of those items are only showing if the user is logged in.

How to set it up?.

Thanks in advance.

How to upload and search audio and video by date and location?

Using Jamroom

michael:
I will take a look and see if there is a way to change the server settings in the core when the language is switched. Not sure how feasible it is to change the server settings per visiting user, but will look into it.
If its not possible, I would recommend using a non-language derived date format 24-02-2016.

Hi Michael,

Thanks a lot for your reply. Have you managed to find a solution to this issue?

The non-language derived date format 24-02-2016 is fine but we really need to display the day because most of our meetings or conferences are day-based meetings (recurring meetings). E. g.: There is a meeting that takes place only on Thuesday, another one only on saturday. They are different meetings. Displaying the day (Monday, Tuesday etc) of the meeting is quite useful for our users.

Thanks

Hi Douglas,

Can you tell me why is the "Who Is Online" module not showing for the not-logged users? I would like to show it to visitors as well.

Thanks

How to make Audio and Video Categories (genres) a link ?

Using Jamroom

gary.moncrieff:
Album links work because the Audio module has an item_albums template which can be called on.
You will need to create a few new templates in your skin directory. For instance with Mediapro I used search areas in the template which Douglas had set up in other areas to help me filter by genre. In the left hand column of the page I have a block which gets populated with the genre links.

Hi Gary

Thanks a lot. You have highlighted me. I didn't notice that item_album template.

So creating templates like:

item_audio.tpl
item_video.tpl

will it work?

Please give me the urls of Douglas's posts you are referring to.

Thanks

How to make Audio and Video Categories (genres) a link ?

Using Jamroom

douglas:
The jrAudio module templates has an album link because you can upload songs by albums and are listed on the profiles album page.
Elastic was made to be simple and for developers to expand to fit their needs. It wasn't really setup for a full blown music site.
Have you tried any of the other skins?

Thanks Douglas,

I own a ProJam license and I have tried it, back then in JR4. The template is good but it is music-oriented. So I had thought time to customize and make it more generic. We are not a music-oriented site. Elastic is more generic and it seems to suit our needs.

If I copy the code from the following ProJam templates:

music.tpl
music_chart_genres.tpl
music_chart_genres_row.tpl
music_chart_row.tpl
music_charts.tpl
music_charts_monthly.tpl
music_charts_yearly.tpl
music_genres.tpl
music_genres_row.tpl
music_row.tpl

and paste it in custom template files (audio.tpl, audio_chart_genres.tpl, audio_chart_genres_row.tpl, audio_chart_row.tpl etc) will it work in Elastic skin?

I also need to order audio and video files by play, ratings, Year, Monthly etc.

I will use these URLs in the top menu.

Thanks
