jrCore_load_url error

Using Jamroom

OK I think I may of figured it out I removed the RLimitMEM settings from apache seem to have fixed it.
I did have it on 2048M but removing this altogether seems to make it work.

is it safe to remove this or what would you set as I have 32 gig on the server for memory and already configured most of the server as just few things here and there I waiting for everything be stable again and tweak mostly.

Jamroom 5 Core github

Jamroom Developers

Is there any plans of adding Jamroom 5 core to github as I made many changes over the years to my own and clients I managed to get Jamroom as there system.

because as of right now I had to make patch files or my own private github too pull in changes from the official builds.

as this would be a great way for more users onto jamroom since the core is open source under your own license and would be great way too add changes from community and also see what you have changed with full history.

jamroom license issues...

Installation and Configuration

Hello I was going though and updating my jamroom as my site been down for a while so now been restoring everything but I noticed the update says this for products I own.

no license with purchase box.

I have even tried releasing everything here on jamroom but still seeing the same message.

but if I click update all it does update as not sure if this is jamroom.net issue or something else.

Jamroom performance

Jamroom Developers

yea I tried that don't think Jamroom supports it yet.

as I get errors like

ERROR 1118 (42000) at line 460: Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table type, not counting BLOBs, is 65535. This includes storage overhead, check the manual. You have to change some columns to TEXT or BLOBs
[
so I guess I would have to change the fields but guess it not a good idea since the update would revert it

Jamroom performance

Jamroom Developers

Hello I currently in middle of migrating jamroom to a new server but I was wondering is there any reason behind the mixed engines in jamroom. of using INNODB and MyISAM.

also is it OK to convert my jamroom tables from utf8_unicode_ci too utf8mb4_unicode_ci as this method is like the older method but better performance for UTF8

hosting questions

Jamroom Hosting

Hello I have a question I have backup my site using cpanel but with your jamroom hosting can I upload my data folder to restore my site with jamroom hosting as was looking around as I would like to restore it on your server as I was wondering if there is sftp or similar that will allow me to restore my jamroom site since I have cancelled the server I did have as my site is around 20 gigs

thanks
