I've got some stuff that I did months back (probably last year) which used canvas. Not sure how it was performance wise, but it sure was the prettiest cloud whilst drawing itself. It saved to an image.

I'll have to dig that one out.

Difficult to tell how things run from here - always have a huge slowdown in the evenings (I'm currently staying with my mum and she chose a notorious low budget isp, against all advice).

FF profiler suggests that the wordcloud is taking up 74% (of something) - how does it run without that on the page?

Email works best for me - my mobile is off 95% of the time. I never know which number I'm supposed to be using, and recharging paygo from another country is often impossible.

I do really like the idea of verifying against something other than an email address though - a bank account or something. Not to prevent hackers, but to prevent the creation of multiple identities.

That's neat!

I had thought 2 factor auth should be tied to a mobile phone (receive code via sms) so you auth'd with 2 separate devices
