Using Jamroom

Dazed:
I think it works well but I wonder if it would be better hidden unless you want to add an attachment? So just a text box underneath with a button to click to add an attachment or insert an image. Right now it looks like I have the MS Word ribbon on my page .

You can reduce the number of buttons in the ribbon by deleting some from /core/template_modify/template=form_editor.tpl You have a lot of control from that template - take things out, or add them in.

Using Jamroom

Must add that although it has it's problems, I quite like TinyMCE because when I demonstrate our system I can say something like "and you might recognise the interface from Wordpress, but if not you already know most of it from using MS Word." Pretty much everyone sees it and nods knowingly, so I can move on to showing more important user features.

Jamroom Core 6.0.0 beta 1

These figures in the screenshots below don't make sense to me. Both localhost and jamroom hosted score above the baseline for the Overall Score, but localhost performs below the baseline on all three performance scores.

According to the Score (Lower is Better) my localhost scores higher than the baseline on all three tests (meaning it is lower performing than the baseline).

But the Overall Score (Higher is Better) for my localhost is higher than the baseline.

On my Jamroom hosted server the scores are all lower than the baseline (as they are higher performing), and the Overall Score is also higher than the baseline (as expected for a higher performing server).

Is it skewed by my laptop localhost, or does the baseline 1000 figure need updating?

Localhost:
Quote: Processor - 4 @1.8 GHz 0.55
Baseline: 0.5 Seconds

Database - MySQL 5.6.20 6.57
Baseline: 6.5 seconds

Filesystem = In Use: 96% 1.15
Baseline: 1.0 seconds

Overall Score: 1,128
Baseline: 1,000

Jamroom hosting:
Quote: Processor - 1 @2.5 GHz 0.4
Baseline: 0.5 Seconds

Database - MySQL 5.5.50 3.45
Baseline: 6.5 seconds

Filesystem - In Use: 8% 0.91
Baseline: 1.0 seconds

Overall Score: 1,681
Baseline: 1,000

Jamroom Core 6.0.0 beta 1

Just to be clear, the linebreaks in the blog work fine when updating and creating further blog posts, it's just the post created on installation which doesn't work right.

When you visit the admin blog for the first time the post looks fine. But when you edit it the line breaks are lost in the tinymce editor field, and you need to replace them before saving.

A TinyMCE issue which we've all spent some time on.

Obviously this isn't a practical problem as the post will be deleted. But it is a noticeable glitch if you are installing Jamroom for the first time. Can the line breaks be updated in the installer so that the glitch isn't seen by new users?

Thanks

Site (blog) News Display from home page not showing..

Using Jamroom

michael:Change the URL in the 'index_site_news.tpl' file to point to where you want it to go.
It's probably in index_site_news.tpl

Jamroom Core 6.0.0 Alpha 4

I've installed it and briefly tried a couple of my modules with it, but no time to test it properly I'm afraid.
