Sorry, I wasn't putting a rush on you, but stating that I feel the twitter timeline is no longer the best medium for social sites.

As time goes on I am believing more that the News Feed is becoming the standard, one could say even Twitter is moving away from it's original vision now to more of a News Feed like system, with inline media etc.

Yes I am in a similar boat my servers MySQL performance is killing the speed test, even after applying optimisations.

The host has been working to resolve it, even scrapped the initial HV I was on as it was faulty, moving me to a new one helped but MySQL performance is still slow in comparison.
