For some reason resizing columns in Page Layout mode doesn't work in IE11, works fine in Chrome.

What skins are people looking for?

Hey All

This is a topic to discuss what type of skins people would like to see made for Jamroom. As some of you undoubtable know designing a skin for Jamroom can be a daunting task. Anything other than basic css changes requires a lot of work, and I have to wonder if the client base is existing to support designers releasing skins?

My job is looking less and less secure with every week that goes by and curious as to whether it would be worth while maybe doing general skins to release. I doubt if I could ever make a living at it mind.

Forgot to add, if your purchasing through your admin marketplace you only pay for the elements of bundles you don't already own.

To take this a step further Paul, would be nice to have a start and end date associated with featured status, then the admin doesn't have to worry about un-featuring someone as the system would handle it automatically.

This is only an idea and I haven't looked into what it would take to achieve yet.

Not sure I completely follow, but I have set up a community profile which has the forums, issue tracker and docs enabled. For this profile I modified the templates to hide the profile name box and menu.

so in essence my forums look like this

The only issue I face now with this setup is with the issue tracker, it doesn't currently allow anyone other than the profile owner to add bugs, feature requests.

Important questions about Ning "Groups"

I purchased the Ning bundle out of support mainly, but I have to say at this point in time they don't make much sense to me.

For instance imho pages and discussion should be sub sections of a group not of the profile.

Maybe this is because I am coming from the Jamroom side and already have basically every module installed, so having Pages and Npages doesn't make much sense.

But the notion of groups does, but not in it's current form. Brian your thinking that groups should in fact be a mini site with most/all of the features available would be my view point as well. And in a sense profiles could already be used as groups, pretty much like I am using profiles as a Business Directory among other things.

Will be interested to see where these progress but for now I am just going to disable them as I don't see a use for these at the moment.

Hey Guys

I am messing around with new layout for an artist profile and have been thinking about adding the notion of a player that contains an album the profile owner wants to promote.

Something like this mockup

I have added an audio_featured checkbox to the Album Create and Album update forms, but how would I know get this album to show on the profile?
