Upgrading an old site to Jamroom Core 6.5.0+

06/02/20 09:06:03AM, by brian

I wanted to post a quick update here with steps on updating old Jamroom sites to the newest release when using the Marketplace. A LOT of changes have occurred since the initial Jamroom Core 6 releases (i.e. Core 6.1.0, Core 6.2.0) and there are a number of changes in the Marketplace module as well to make sure updates install smoothly. However, on old core installs the Marketplace module does not have the "reset" cache code in it that allows the web server to "see" the new and updated...

How to get startet with JamRoom?

08/28/14 11:20:01AM, by torbenj

Hi there, I´m brand new to JamRoom so I woul like to ask a few questions. What I would like to create is a forum/community where musicians can search for a band in their area. As you can see on my site www.find-et-band.dk - I´m from Denmark. I´m finding it a little bit hard to get startet. I don´t really know which plugins/modules to buy to get startet. I want it to be possible for musicians to make a profile, so that bands can find them - and the other way around. I need a searchform...

Jamroom Core 5.2.9 - update to Tiny MCE 4

08/21/14 12:25:39PM, by brian

I wanted to post a real quick message to everyone about the Jamroom 5.2.9 update - this one tool is a little bit longer to get together than normal, as we ended up integrating TinyMCE 4 into the core, which is a big upgrade from the old TinyMCE 3. This is great as it allows us to be on the currently stable version of TinyMCE and continue to get bug fixes and updates. It also has a nicer "theme" for it, so it should go better with a wide variety of skins . So just a heads up that the editor...

Why Jamroom is the best CMS

12/30/16 12:47:48PM, by Intro2Music

I began using Jamroom early in 2004, back in the days of version 2.1 and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey to our latest version each and every day. The reasons I have stayed with Jamroom for so many years are simple... The bigguy himself, Brian Johnson, and his dedication to the whole project, creating a better and better cms with each update while ensuring the stability and security of the platform over so many years. Brian's dedication to Support must be applauded too. Over all the...
