Server Environment Variables
04/06/17 10:50:51AM, by SoftDesigns
On a Jamroom Premium Hosted Server: How to Set environment variables via: .htaccess -- Goal: have Apache set environment variables for use in our Smarty Templates, via a .htaccess file, using SetEnv. We assume these variables must start with 'HTTP_' for security purposes. -- Examples: -- SetEnv HTTP_MY_VAR "my value" SetEnv HTTP_MY_VAR myValue Then use $_SERVER to fetch it from custom Module or somehow from Smarty Template. $_SERVER['HTTP_MY_VAR'] -- FYI: On Azure - we can set these...

On the cron server, I have the ping to my worker configured. I have a gree light that it is active. And if I hit the url, I can see the response. However, the cron server gives the error: The Cron Worker is NOT running - Cron Jobs are not updating Additionally, nothing shows in the LAST RESPONSE column. I can't tell if its working or not. Also, not sure what "start cron worker" does.

Server load in Dashboard?
05/07/17 11:04:15PM, by K_K
In the Dashboard there are the boxes for "1 minute load", "5 minute load" and "15 minute load" (if you have them enabled). What do the numbers mean/represent exactly, percentage of server processing power used or something similar? At what point it would be good to consider upgrading for more powerful server if the load keeps up?

Firstly, this *could* be an Arvixe screwup, but just to check I've done all I can this end.... Site is currently inaccessible (blank page), although just before it went down, I saw a couple of errors about not being able to write certain files to the cache. Visiting the cPanel generates this error: The filesystem mounted at /home/sitename on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operations have been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your...
Development Server Control Panel
10/18/14 12:53:09PM, by jimmyk
I finally have the time to setup a development server! Anyway, I downloaded VirtualBox and CentOS (the Linux distro I like) and got everything setup. The reason I'm posting is that I found a great free control panel to use for my dev server. http://centos-webpanel.com/ It's free and has a ton of options. One of the features I love the most is the ability to use just about any PHP version I want. Couple clicks and I'm using a newer or older version. Great for testing! It also comes...

03/26/15 12:28:31AM, by soaringeagle
