jrCore 6.0.5 error

Installation and Configuration

I've just tested here on PHP 5.4 and don't see any issues - I suspect it's a missing PHP package in the install that upgrading PHP will fix.

Thanks Marcus -

All Jamroom modules and skins are installed from within your Jamroom site. So go here:

http://trapflymusiccom.jamroomhosting.com/

and log in as the Master Admin account you created (the first account). After login, click on the "ACP" link in the header (that's the "Admin Control Panel"), then click on "Marketplace" in the Core section. You'll see modules and skins right there for you to install with one click.

Let me know if that helps.

Jamroom Affiliate Program?

Suggestions

This is something we've kicked around a bit, and I think we likely WILL do something specifically for Jamroom Hosted. We've got a few things on tap before it, but it's something we are looking into :)

Thanks!

Welcome to Jamroom Marcus!

After creating your server and domain, you should have received an email about your Jamroom Site and how to access it. Note that it can take a little bit for DNS to update, but at that time your new Jamroom Site will available at the URL in the email sent to you. Every Jamroom site on Jamroom Hosted as TWO URLs - a "primary" (which is the domain you entered) and a "secondary" domain - i.e. "yoursite.jamroomhosting.com". This lets you access your new site at the secondary domain before going "live".

Make sure and check out our Jamroom Hosting documentation:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/jamroom-hosting

as well as the Jamroom Admin quick start:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/jamroom-admin-handbook

mainly the parts under "Overview". Jamroom is a very configurable product so give yourself some time to get up to speed - once you do things will "click" and you'll be a JR expert in no time :)

Hope this helps!

Channel Invite Code

Using Jamroom

izhmel:
I don't have the modules running on any other sites , and some modules still asking for payments like SoundCloud when marketplace item says I have a license ....

Looks like you released licenses from your other domain you had licenses on - you should be able to update/install now. Let me know if you still see any issues and I can check it out.

Thanks!

Developing Modules

Jamroom Developers

Just want to follow up here:

- the Jamroom Video module is JCL, so you would want to make tools that work WITH the video module. You would not be able to take our video module, change it and release it. Not sure if that is what you were looking to do - just wanted to be sure that was known about.

- I did follow up on your other post about video:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/installation-and-configuration/46919/jamroom-upload-stuck-at-512m
But did not get any feedback from you about making the module work with custom FFMpeg settings and if that would help with some of the issues you were seeing.

- To be honest, we're a bit hesitant about 3rd party developers on jamroom.net. I know for some users having a large 3rd party developer network is attractive, as it usually provides more options. With over 13 years supporting Jamroom though, the one thing I've seen over and over again is that someone comes along, creates a new module, and then 2 months later is no longer around to support it. It ends up falling on to our team to help these customers either get working by fixing code that is not ours OR we help them move on to a supported module.

So just an FYI :)

Thanks!

Does the "normal user" group category include "power users"?

Using Jamroom

Just to add to those post - there are only 3 "types" of USER accounts in Jamroom (the "user_group" key in the User datastore):

- "master" - user is a MASTER admin
- "admin" - user is a PROFILE admin
- "user" - everyone else

Something to look at

Using Jamroom

So after updating the profile of the user, the cache was not reset?

Thanks!
