Jamroom 6.1 has been released!

Announcements

researchcooperative:
but requires manual scrolling through all the templates regardless of whether they need to be updated.

When a skin is updated the templates that were changed are listed in the change log - there's no need to look at all templates - only the ones that are changed.

researchcooperative:
I wonder if it would be possible for JR to provide a more comprehensive skin update tool (or skin management module?), one that automates the process as far as possible.

The Compare tool already works pretty well - you can:

- "reset" and bring over the entire new template
- side by side compare the new template versus your custom template and bring over any changes line by line

There's really no way to automate this any further - there's no way for us to "know" what you want changed and not changed, so we give you the tools to make the correct decision.

Privacy config controls for profiles and accounts that I wish to take offline before eventual deletion

Using Jamroom

The Privacy settings in your quota config for the profile module are defaults - they are assigned to a profile at signup time. Moving a profile into the quota will not change their existing settings.

If you want to OVERRIDE what the profile has set in their individual profile, you need to UNCHECK the "Show Privacy Options":

Quote:
If this option is checked, Profiles in this quota will be allowed to change their Profile Privacy. If unchecked, the Default Profile Privacy will be used instead.

This will enforce the default profile privacy on profiles in the quota.

Invalid Form Validation errors

Using Jamroom

So in Jamroom every form has what's called a "form session" - this is basically information about the form that the core uses to do things like validation, CSRF protection, etc. When you get this error it means that Jamroom was not able to find the form session that was being requested. This really shouldn't happen and would indicate something messed up in the user session. Logging out and back in again should fix it up, but again - you should rarely see this.

If you find you are consistently getting this error than it likely indicates there's something else going on and we need to check it out, so open a support ticket and we can investigate.

Thanks!

All about changelog.txt?

Using Jamroom

There's several ways to see this:

1) Click on the "Help" tab for any module or skin. You will see one of the options is "View information about this item including detailed Change Log"

2) You can view the changelog directly here on Jamroom.net - i.e.:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/107/smiley-support

click on "View Changelog"

3) When you are in the Marketplace module doing an UPDATE you can click on the "Changes" button to see the changes before updating.

Hopefully it is linked to in enough obvious places that we don't need to add it anywhere else, but let me know.

Thanks!

smiley picker window has changed background color... where to adjust?

Using Jamroom

You just want to modify the template and add some padding around each image until the layout is what you like.

Let me know if that helps.

User "sort by last login" not functioning right..?

Using Jamroom

Strumelia:
THANK YOU so much Brian! Yay! (you must have set some kind of speed record for software fixing just now)
I don't need to use it immediately, so am happy to wait for the next release.

When I saw the report I knew immediately where the issue was :)

smiley picker window has changed background color... where to adjust?

Using Jamroom

The recent update made it so the popup follows the site style - previously it was unstyled. If you want to change it you just want to modify the "emotions.tpl" file in your Smiley module - i.e. change this:

<div class="p10">

To this:
<div class="p10" style="background-color: #FFFFFF">

You can modify to suit your needs.

Documentation pagination?

Using Jamroom

Ceri:
Upon reflection perhaps pagination is the wrong way to go BUT if possible I would like to be able to limit search in the left hand column to the documentation module exclusively. Is it possible to make search work within the relevant module only?

I'm not sure what you mean - can you clarify what the "search in the left hand column" is?

Thanks!
