caching issue in new beta core?

Installation and Configuration

soaringeagle:
that i do think is part of the issue ..i think it kinda presents diferent symptoms but has to have a common cause, somethings causing data to cache that shouldnt it maybe the specific modules i have installed or who knows what
but i think if you figure out why thats doing that it should point to the similar issues elsewhere
i gues if need be i can clear all cache do it then zip the browsers cahe folder contents to ya

That's not going to help me at all - I need to be able to replicate the issue or it's hard to fix :(

I've opened a ticket on the pre-populating of gallery title - someone has added that in and I'm not sure why it was done, but am checking it out.

caching issue in new beta core?

Installation and Configuration

I just tested this here and don't see an issue - I posted 3 galleries in a row on a profile for a master admin and it worked each time. What I DID see however was that the title of the gallery is not being cleared - so when you click on the + sign to create a new gallery, you see the gallery title from the previous save, so I will check that out.

caching issue in new beta core?

Installation and Configuration

soaringeagle:
as a master admin post gallerieso a seoerate master adminprofile after you add a gallery, add a second gallery then yiu get the error and have to clear cache and try again

I did my best to parse this sentence, but I'm struggling - did you mean to say "post galleries to a separate master admin profile" ??

JR 6 PAY PAL

Using Jamroom

This is something I'll be able to spend more time on once JR6 is out of beta.

caching issue in new beta core?

Installation and Configuration

derrickhand300:
I have noticed that to get something out of the cache I have to go to data/cache folder via FTP a lot more often than I normally do in JR5 ( Normally reset cache/integrity check does it)...maybe related...maybe not -just my observation

You should never have to FTP to the cache folder, or really even care about it. We've been running JR here on jamroom.net for 3 years now and I don't think one time I've ever "manually" deleted cache files.

Let me know how to see the caching issue and I can check it out.

Thanks!

Simple Chat not activating

Using Jamroom

Correct - you WILL NOT be able to view the marketplace pages for BETA modules that are in the JAMROOM 6 BETA channel. The way the marketplace works here on Jamroom.net is that only modules in the "public" stable and beta channels are viewable on the web site.

Posting of Replies Aren't Showing

Using Jamroom

We can see that replies are working here, so I'm fairly certain it is going to be related to any customizations you've made to the forum. Are you running a "stock" Profile Forum module?

Thanks!

puzzle with jrCore_module_url

Using Jamroom

I've found the root cause of this issue and am working on a fix - it is related to the Issue Tracker module that "watches" for comments being made on private tickets, so the comment is kept private - but the search criteria is actually too broad and it is making the search affect item_id's from other modules besides the issue tracker. It's a tricky section of code but I'm working on it.

Thanks!

Using Jamroom

If you set the forum post order to NEWEST first (like you want) the "post response" box will show at the top, so you should not have to make any modifications.

There's a new "post sort direction" config option in the new version.
