Question About Debug and Datastore

Using Jamroom

Which template are you placing the debug code in? In the YouTube_Meta.tpl file? If so that should work as long as $item contains the keys for the YouTube video. However, jrCore_list always returns an _items array - so in that case if you wanted to reference the FIRST youtube video from the list you would do:

{$_items.0.youtube_id}

Arrays always start at index "0" and increment.

Not sure if that is what needed because I am not sure HOW you are getting the YouTube info, but if it is from a jrCore_list call then that's what you need.

some AOL addresses clogging email delivery failures

Using Jamroom

Looks like the AOL SMTP server is down - that's what those 421 errors mean. Mailgun will "buffer" these for you and send them when AOL's mail server is back online. If it continues, Mailgun are ones who will know what's up, so it's good you are in contact with them.

Jamroom 5.3 Beta Kickoff

Announcements

gary.moncrieff:Hey Brian. I looked at that too the other day and there is no value showing in the module version field in the dB. Is this somewhere hardcoded?

They can't be or you'd have errors whenever you view your "info" tab for the Core, so I'm guessing you're looking in the wrong DB table. Make sure it is jr_jrcore_module and the column is "module_version". If you still don't see it, shoot us an email with your site login and I will fix you up.

Hope this helps!

embed issues

Using Jamroom

izhmel:when I click on the "embedded media" button in the EDITOR is what generates the error

I've just tested here and it is all working. Have you customized the "item_embed.tpl" file in the Audio => Templates area?

Found Issues From Beta Kick Off

Using Jamroom

perrie:*Better add embed in comments in the forum now, too. They are now gone. It must have happened during the reboot

This isn't related to rebooting - there's a bug in the template parser for the editor that is preventing these buttons from showing.

Quote:*Several times and it won't take.

What I am asking is HOW you are "resetting" it. There is no function in Jamroom to "reset" the date, so I'm trying to figure out what you mean by "resetting".

Quote:I would agree with you, but it's only happening in the groups and not site wide.

Some modules are more "intensive" than others such as Groups, Profile Forum and Seamless - these modules collate date from many different areas and present it in a single view - that process requires more work so is going to be slower.

Found Issues From Beta Kick Off

Using Jamroom

perrie:So last night's updates did some strange things on my site.

1. I lost embed off of my text editor, but only in the groups and on the personal pages comment section

This is fixed in the next beta release.

Quote:2. Either one or both of these two members names are showing up under every other members account. (please see screenshot)

I'm checking this out.

Quote:3. From the last update: my timestamp is 5 hours 30 min ahead. No matter how many times I have reset it, it will not take.

How are you "resetting" it?

Quote:
4. My groups are still very slow to load.

You have a very busy server for the size of hosting plan you're on - you might consider upgrading to a plan with more memory and CPU.

Quote:5.One other oddity, since last night. Many of my groups (not all) are showing funky member lists. Either my sites default avatar (a hat) is showing up or id's. Screenshot included.

I'm not seeing a screenshot - can you post it?

Quote:6. And I just checked the groups on my iphone, and the default hat is showing up on the front page instead of the AP picture that should be there and I can't sign in.

I use JR from my iphone a lot and am not aware of issues - JR doesn't treat an iphone any differently than a desktop browser. Do you get an error?

embed issues

Using Jamroom

This error means the "type" parameter that was received is NOT valid for the {jrCore_media_player} call, meaning the VALUE is not either empty OR it is a player that is not installed on your system.

When you say "embed" are you:

- clicking on the "embedded media" button in the EDITOR?
- are you just entering a URL so the Media URL scanner will pick it up?
