Image Display Query

Using Jamroom

The link to the original size does not "just appear" on the page when you decide to not block it - you will need to customize your template to include a link to the original.

For this image:

https://fotmd.com/strumelia/gallery/8256/bones-lesson-at-my-house-with-dom-flemons

This is the original:

https://fotmd.com/gallery/image/gallery_image/8256/original/_v=1436754228

You can't right click with Chrome on the large image due to the lightbox overlay - you need to right click on the small image in the slider above the large image - then you can manipulate it.

MariaDB and Litespeed Server

Design and Skin Customization

Yeah you for sure want to be on 10.1. It sounds like you're probably running a default config file, while MySQL had one that had been configured. How much RAM does your server have?

MariaDB and Litespeed Server

Design and Skin Customization

MariaDB works really well - I use it here as my main development platform. I can't comment on Litespeed as it's not something I have actually used.

Image Display Query

Using Jamroom

Unfortunately it's not nearly as simple as it may seem to get an image to "just fit". The problem is that we can define width/heights in percentages or "view height" (if using a newer browser). When doing this you have to take into account any HTML elements that flow on the page above the image - i.e. headers, etc. - the height of those items are going to very from skin to skin and from site to site, but you have to subtract that height from the view height to get the correct size of the container that actually holds the image. Only then can you actually resize the image to fit the viewable "above the fold" content area by getting the viewable area, subtracting the values for the header/menu/etc and then resizing the image to for that size. You then have to deal with the image "flashing" it's full size before being resized, which can also be visually "noisy".

If we can come up with a simple solution that can help it's something we will get it in there.

Adding events, like date of birth to children does not add event to parents

Genosis

Try updating to the latest Genosis Events I just pushed to the Marketplace - to be honest I am not sure if it will fix what you are seeing, but there are some fixes in their for syncing in profiles. If that does NOT fix it let me know. I don't see this issue on this end.

Are you running Jamroom Core 6.0.7 or the 6.1 beta?

Thanks!

Now Creating Custom Sites!

Announcements

I wanted to follow up here and say thanks to everyone how has reached out to us to inquire about your Jamroom project. The response we've received to this announcement has been awesome - we've had a huge amount of requests come in and it really validates our decision to move forward with our custom design setup.

I wanted to follow up here for anyone that did not see the Newsletter announcement, that we now have a new custom form online to request a Jamroom Project:

https://www.jamroom.net/form/project_overview

You must be logged in in order to view that form (we don't ant spam), but that should help streamline the project request and prevent a bunch of "back and forth" that can happen during the initial project request phase where we are trying to gather requirements and what you're looking to have done.

Any feedback on the new form is really appreciated - ideally we can collect as much info as possible on the initial request and get your project in queue ASAP.

If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks!
