Problems with login page and Forgot Login page

Using Jamroom

ICW:
We're having some issues with our login page and our Forgot Login page.

Login page:
1. . the User login help currently says "You must use a valid email address to sign up." However, using an email doesn't work. We want people to be able to use either their username or their email address.

You can use either - I'm not aware of any issues with it and have just tested it here.

2. I want to change the help info for the user login, but not sure where to find that... Assuming it's in Form Designer, but not sure how to get from the login page to the form designer since I'm logged out when I look at the Login page...

ACP -> Users -> Users -> "Language" tab.

Quote:
Forgot Login page:
It says that you can enter your username or email. However when I enter my email, it says it says: An account with that email address or user name was not found - please try again

Then there is NO account with that email - the error message is correct. You're entering the wrong email address.

Quote:
It works fine if you enter your username instead of your email. but again I'd like people to be able to use either one.

We'd like to have our login page set up exactly how the JR login is set up... but we don't know how....

The Jamroom.net login is the "default" - yours will work the same.

Hope this helps.

Support for polygamous families

Genosis

Tachisabaki:
Thank you for your response Brian.

So in creating these profiles, are there any special rules to ensure the integrity of the hierarchy; i.e. should each child be created under the mother and not the father?

There's no special rules - you can link (or unlink) a child profile easily from a parent - so for example if you add a child it will automatically be linked to ALL parents - then just click on the small "X" in the child profile next to the parent name to unlink them from the parent that is not the real parent. Similarly, if you link a child to the incorrect parent, you can just click on "new parent" from the child profile, then "link to existing profile".

Once you've done it once or twice you see how easy it is.

Hope this helps!

A question about photo quality

Using Jamroom

Without a URL to the image you are seeing an issue with it's impossible to tell.

Artist profiles 404 error when logged out

Installation and Configuration

If you have Proxima installed on your JR site, make sure the Proxima Core -> Global Config -> Enable profiles is checked, and save.

Let me know if that helps.

Support for polygamous families

Genosis

Yep - Genosis handles this. For example - if you go here:

http://johnsonfamily.talldude.net/jacob-marmon-johnson-81

You'll see Jacob was married twice. On his profile you see all his children. If you go to his first wife's profile however:

http://johnsonfamily.talldude.net/mary-ann-f-davidson-82

You'll see her children - and if you go to his second wife:

http://johnsonfamily.talldude.net/martha-ellen-mozingo-3454

You'll see just the children she had with Jacob. You could have 10 different wives with different children if you want - there's no limit.

Hope this helps!

Charting Issue

Using Jamroom

This should be fixed in version 1.0.7 of the Advanced Charts module - update, reset caches and you should be set.

Thanks for letting us know.

A question about photo quality

Using Jamroom

It all depends on the size of the image being requested, and what size it is being used at. Do you have a URL to an image you feel has poor quality? Most likely the original image is poor quality.

Form Designer issue

Design and Skin Customization

It means what the message says:

Quote:
These forms will be initialized the first time they are viewed. It is recommended that you view all forms for this module before using the Form Designer.

You need to visit the UPDATE form for a blog entry and the Form Designer will be initialized for that form view.

Let me know if that helps.

Form Designer issue

Design and Skin Customization

the CREATE and UPDATE forms are separate forms - you will need to add the same fields to the UPDATE form that you added in the CREATE form. There is a checkbox when creating a new form field on the CREATE form to add the same field on the UPDATE form - however, it just creates the entry in the form - you will need to set it up to suit your needs.

Let me know if that helps.

foxycart payment issues?

Installation and Configuration

soaringeagle:
ohhhh ok i got ya
is there any way to set it up as a cron to do it automaticly

No.. it's a manual process - JR has no idea WHAT system you want to use to do the actual payout, and it may differ with different users.
