Jamroom 5.3 Beta Kickoff

Announcements

soaringeagle:
just a hunch but could it be this
- New: "slow_query_time" parameter for jrCore_list to log slow queries for individual lists

No - that's not going to do anything unless you specifically add "slow_query_time" as a parameter to a jrCore_db_search function call, which NO ONE is doing yet.

Jamroom 5.3 Beta Kickoff

Announcements

If it was working with 5.3.0b3, I can't think of anything in b4 that should break it - it's almost all just bug fixes (I created almost 60 new unit tests just for the datastore functions, for example)

Jamroom 5.3 Beta Kickoff

Announcements

soaringeagle:
what would cause the entie front page to be lost
how many dev sites use the older sitebuilder

None of my dev sites use the older sitebuilder - I have NO IDEA if core 5.3.0 will work at all with the old site builder. It's no longer even in our repo.

If you are seeing errors you need to look in your web server error log - try restarting your web server as well so any PHP caches are reset.

Core update 500 error

Installation and Configuration

sbhadauria:
Finally, I resolved my issue.

I am getting issue because of jrGeo module. I am including jrGeo module manually in my code, that is fine with old core updates. But in new updates jrGeo module is already including by jrCore. So jrGeo module including twice that's why error occurred.

Glad to hear you got it working. Thanks!

Jamroom 5.3 Beta Kickoff

Announcements

I've been updating all my sites to 5.3.0b4 after the release (I have 15 dev domains on my JR Hosting server, plus my large Genosis site) - I've not seen a single issue. So I'm not sure what to say, but you always seem to have some type of server issue any time you do anything on your site. It's hard for me to know what is JR and what is your server when it comes to the issues you see.

Corrupted update file recieved

Installation and Configuration

kccomedy:
Was still not able to update today. So I figured I had nothing to lose so I started clicking things to see what it would do.

I fixed it by going into Developer Tools and Clicking The "Rebase Modules" button.

I was then able to Update. Now it is all up to date and working fine.

Not sure why this fixed it, but it did.

I'm guessing the directories or symlinks were permissioned incorrectly - rebasing deletes and changes things back to like they are during a "fresh" install. If you find you need to do this regularly it means your web server "user" is not able to permissions files, links or directories.

Still Unable to upgrade

Using Jamroom

Strumelia:
I see a second domain on my server as well (aside from my fotmd.com), called "strumelia-861275.jamroomhosting.com"
I'ts got the Elastic skin on it, but I've never done anything with it. Like Ken, should I just delete that? (I mean, if I wanted to have another domain on my server, it wouldn't have a name like that.) Should I delete strumelia-861275.jamroomhosting.com domain from my server?

Yeah - I'd delete it if you're not using it.
