core update crashes

Installation and Configuration

If you're getting 500 errors on your system, and it's all related to files not found, then there is a reason that is happening: Either the files do not exist, or they exist in a different location than your website is configured to look.

Again - in either situation a competent system administrator would figure it out very quickly. I understand you're annoyed and want this to be a Jamroom issue, but it's not.

Playlist audio Cover out Of Proportion

Using Jamroom

I'm not able to replicate this here, and I am thinking this has been fixed as part of the Audio Player work Douglas has done for Jamroom 5.3. If you can update to 5.3:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/announcements/34760/jamroom-53-beta-kickoff

and the new Audio and Video modules, let me know if you still see an issue.

Thanks!

Unable to create the Audio Page using the Site Builder

Using Jamroom

"/audio" is the default URL for the Audio Module (if you do NOT have the Combined Audio module installed) OR the Combined Audio module (if you have it installed).

When you go to:

yoursite.com/audio

You will get a list of AUDIO items from either the Audio module OR the Combined Audio module. You can "override" this page and create your own Site Builder page by clicking on the "Site Builder" button in the lower left - it will ask you if you really want to override that page and create your own - click "OK".

I have just tried it here and it is working as it should.

Performance check

Using Jamroom

Your database score is the lowest Performance Check database score we've ever received for Jamroom - something is horribly misconfigured in your MySQL if it is that slow OR your hosting provider is severely limiting the number of queries you are allowed to run per second. Something is wrong...

How Do I Update My Credit Card?

Using Jamroom

In your Jamroom site go to:

ACP -> Core -> Marketplace -> Global Config

and uncheck the "Quick Purchase" option - that will let you enter new CC info the next you use the Marketplace.

Hope this helps!

Jamroom 5.3 Beta Kickoff

Announcements

Make sure and check out the new Blog Post that covers a lot of the new features:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/blog/74/jamroom-53-kickoff

We'll be working hard over the next 1-2 weeks to get 5.3 out of beta and into Stable - of you'd like to help us with the new updates, make sure you are set to receive updates on the BETA jamroom.net channel - as Master Admin, log in to your Jamroom and go to:

ACP -> Core -> Marketplace -> Tools -> Release Channels

Click on the "Make Active" button for the BETA channel. Then, go to System Updates and you should see the new Core. After updating you'll see the new module updates as well.

Please let us know if you see any issues - we really hope you like Jamroom 5.3!

Thanks!

How to build a JrElastic multilingual-based site using the Site Builder?

Using Jamroom

No - that is incorrect - all of our skins are already setup to use jrCore_lang throughout - Elastic is just not setup with flags (since it only had 1 language file - en-US)

A few bugs

Using Jamroom

The current Profile Followers module is 1.4.3 - double check you're looking in that module's template directory.

Thanks!
