when i use the galery image download i get an extentionless file and have to rename it to add an extention .jpg

I'm not able to replicate this here - note that the file name you are prompted to download is the actual file name that was uploaded.

Public Trees

However, I can't figure out how to make a tree public. I found under User Accounts-Site Settings "Site Privacy". It is set to "Public(All Pages Visible)" but if you click on a name you only get "NOT FOUND" if you aren't logged in. If I paste a link to a tree I only see the first name.

How do I make it public?

By default a Tree is public unless you make it private in the Tree Tools config. Most likely what you're seeing here is the "Public View Cutoff" - you'll only see profiles for ancestors born before that year.

Click on "Admin" and you'll see the public view cutoff - you can set it to whatever year you want.

New module help tab (in ACP) links to "Using Jamroom" Forum... Ok, but...

We have quite a lot of forums here, so I don't know if have 150+ module forums would help users find what they are looking for. Hopefully the new Help tab makes it easier to find documentation and other module specific info though - it's something we're working on improving (mainly through improving the search).

Troubleshooting delayed emails

There's nothing in Jamroom that makes it wait 6 minutes before sending an email to the local SMTP server. Something is misconfigured on your server OR you have ZERO traffic - since email is sent via a Queue, Queue's are processed when a web process spins up - if you have literally no hits on your site then the queue will not be processed.

Yeah you might try updating. There's nothing you can do at the code level to crash the DB server - if you see tables being marked as crashed it means the DB process is crashing/being killed and not properly closing the DB file. Check that you're not running out of RAM too.

There have been a few tweaks in that template, so it could be already fixed in 5.2.42. We've got a couple other things that are in the works for 5.2.42, and we'll get it out as soon as we can.

You could make the gallery title a custom form designer field that is a "SELECT" field that has your preconfigured options.

However that will create the gallery on their profile. There's no way without doing something custom to "force" the user's images to go into some sort of "global" gallery.
