Deleting multiple user accounts / profiles

Suggestions

Just to add to this - you need to be really "vigilant" about spammer accounts - you need to make sure and delete them in UNDER 24 hours.

How they work is that the spammers hire someone to create accounts on dozens/hundreds of sites that allow accounts, and post a URL. Then a day or two later they will come back and see if the account still exists with the URL - if it does, then your site is TARGETED and you will get a HUGE number of spammers signing up since they figure you're not watching what's going on.

It's a pain.

Images on private profile

Jamroom Developers

Just an update that I've tested this here and am not seeing issues, so let us know if you can replicate it and I can check it out.

Thanks!

Sharing songs on Facebook problem

Using Jamroom

You must have SSL to share any media to Facebook (image, song, etc.) - this is a requirement by Facebook.

Featured Profiles Issue When Logged Out

Design and Skin Customization

Make sure those profiles are not set to "private" or "followers only" for profile privacy.

Also - make sure and update to the latest User profiles module (ACP -> Marketplace -> System Updates) there was a small issue in the latest release that I fixed this morning that might be connected.

Hope this helps!

jr_jrcore_form table crashes autorepair fails

Installation and Configuration

If your table keeps crashing, you have an underlying issue that you need to address - i.e. disk going bad, bad memory - something.

You should rarely see a table "marked as crashed" - if you do, it means your DB server is crashing on you on a regular basis - and you need to find out why (i.e. /var/log/mysql/error.log).

Should 'Reply to a comment' generate a notification?

Using Jamroom

Yeah we should have a solution for "replying" to a comment - however, if you're NOT using comment threading, then right now the way it works is it will let the owner of the item (say an image) know that a user has commented on their item. Without threading there is no way for Jamroom to "know" the difference between a NEW comment on an item, and a reply to a comment on an item - does that make sense? The only alternative in that case would be to email every user that commented on the item (since as far as JR can tell it could be a response to ANY comment).

Let me know if that helps.

Are there any plans to make jamroom Responsive?

Using Jamroom

Zachary Moonshine:
ok i figured it out i uploaded same image made it the biggest size available and made second option stretch and put no margin and presto now it is responsive

Yep - stretch is the one. If you choose a specific pixel size then it will always show at that size.

Glad you got it working.

Thanks!

Reports of Search not working and failure to navigate site

Using Jamroom

This should be working now - I just reset the cache on your site - looks like one of your search was corrupted in the cache.

Hope this helps!

Using Jamroom

Yeah something is not right there - open a ticket on this if you would and we can check it out. I'm just heading out of the office here, but can check this out as soon as I can.

Thanks!
