Background tree

Genosis

The template that controls it is the "pedigree.tpl" file in the Genosis Core module - you could set a background image on the "container".

Hope this helps!

Photo Pro skin menu

Design and Skin Customization

Intro2Music:
Hi Guys,

When viewing the Photo Pro Skin on iPad or Android Tablet, the menu doesn't show in 'Portrait' view.

We will check this out.

Quote:
Also, are there any plans to make this skin work with the 'Combined' Audio and Video module?

It should already work - do you see something not working?

Thanks!

Some quick observations on new site builder

Using Jamroom

derrickhand300:
this no longer seems to work in the new site builder-is that by design or just a bug with my template?
{jrConstructionKit_rotator module="jrGallery" crop="auto" order_by="_created rand" }

This will not work - construction kit is part of the old Site Builder.

derrickhand300:
I had the images in the rotator set to _created_rand I had a slideshow on the home page that had 10 random images from the site

We don't have a way to do random images yet in the rotator - we will need to add support for that.

My image slideshows quit working after updating- how do i get them back or recreate them? I am not understanding how to make the image slideshow with this new system

Go into the "Insert Images" widget and put a checkbox in the images you want to be part of the rotator.

I think the best solution to this is some type of "preview" mode when editing a widget - we might be able to work in a "source" type component at that time, but it would be hard as most widgets are NOT templates but direct PHP code.

However I have to agree with Michael on this that extra buttons/functions for the most part are only going to confuse users who do not understand "why" they are there (trust me - ANYTHING added beyond what is absolutely necessary is going to confuse some users) - and when they click on it they will not understand it and will come here posting questions about it.

SB is designed to be the "easy to use" side of Jamroom. For those that want to see the "code" side of things you can always dig into the templates.

remove seamless internal sort limit

Suggestions

soaringeagle:
for weeks i was trying ti figure out why my seamless lists were:
1 not ordered properly and
2 had thousands of "blank' pages

now it seems to me a module thats made to combine multiple modules lists into 1 should expect more not less so shouldnt have any internal limits at all in the sort order

Unfortunately it has to have one or it would not work - it will be set high enough that 99% of our users will not encounter this as an issue going forward.

Thanks!

possible seemless order by created bug?

Using Jamroom

Strumelia:
Wow- is that something I too can or should set in one of my jrSeamless templates?
If so... please where do I add that new sort limit code?

This is not something that will impact you unless you have more than 5,000 entries in the result set (i.e. between the 2 items you are combining in Seamless).

I'll be releasing an update that will raise that up to where it is not an issue for 99% of sites.

Awesome - glad to hear that. I think I'll get the default bumped up a lot higher, a well as get it in the docs.

Suggestion for adding photos as create gallery button in a gallery causes confusion

Using Jamroom

Thanks for the feedback John - I don't think that is a bad idea at all - we'll check it out.

Thanks!
