ukdenny:I am posting regarding Jamroom 4 Can't find the right thread to post in.
Just migrated a site to godaddy and I need to change the database with settings.php but once I put the details in and press the go button I immediately get 'The connection was reset' error message.
Does anyone know why, please?

Sounds like the server did not respond right (that message is when your browser only gets "part" of the response).

Try it with another browser and be sure the server is setup properly (i.e. PHP 5.3 and older only for JR4).

Profile Image on Private Notes Module

Melih:In this case, as far as i understood PN module and Genosis skin are not exactly compitable from this point. I think it's not very sensible to tell users that you can have a profile picture but if you want to see your picture in PN you have to upload a user image too. It is very logical to display user image as a profile image when it is uploaded. But as you know the family tree consists of profiles that has no users in the beginning. I will try to change the code of the module again. If i can't be successfull i will remove the user image section from the page because it looks funny this way since the only think you see is an empyt man icon as you are messaging.

You're correct - most Genosis profiles are not going to have an attached user account - but that means no one will be "logging in" as that account to send a Private Note.

Maybe I'm not understanding the issue? From my understanding you want the PROFILE image to show in Private Notes - not the USER image - is that correct? If so, my explanation above is why the user shows.

Import problem

Installation and Configuration

That error comes from the "updater" modal window that is open - it's trying to grab the latest results for a specific key (related to the import job) but not finding it, which is NOT normal (it means the table was truncated or emptied while it was working). If the DB was restarted or anything like that it can cause an issue.

I would try re-running it - I believe the importer will pick up where it left off.

if i unstand correct because of the mainly spanish audience someone who comes the first time to the site should see the index page in spanish.
If someone speaks no spanish he is lost. With no English skills this is no problem IF he finds the way to change the language.

You should be able to set the DEFAULT language for the site to Spanish and that will be the "default". Note however that you must have an actual spanish translation for the skin.
