im not sure if this maybe a cause too but the memory and cpu usage were higher then usual..alot higher then usual at the time ..wich isnt really "high" compared to a server thats really stressed but i think it was mysql doing an update ..wheni was on the vps cron jobs would always fail for a couple hours while the mysql updated

this dedicated servers got alot more power so cron jobs wernt failing but perhaps mysql just wasnt as responsive as it shoulda been during the updates and that was causing hanging etc

its all handled server side right cause today i spent 5 hours on the phone with microsoft cause windows update screwed up a couple things on my pc ..but im pretty sure the importrs all done server side so that couldnt have contributed

i did have a few times where it didnt want to start right so that might have messed things up

i agree as now i see no soaringeagle in the menu
and ive tried over and over having a real hard time getting the importer to import the members

i havent edited that file im ciomparing mine to the most recent version 1.0.8 and they are identicle
or was another version released and for some reason im not seeing it

it says it shouldnt but it does it also deletes the profile created to import forums into
and if you create that profile while the imports being done it matches it to the wrong owner even though you specify the owner during profile creation
and other profiles get mismatched (and/or have more then 1 owner assigned)

made the mistake of playing a game while the import was running wich crashed ff, wich then updated itself and somehow wouldnt connect anymore (nor would the installer till i uninstalled ff)

so had to start over from square 1 on the import and it deleted my profile and
all profiles i created linked to my account
now i have to re-import wait till members are fully imported then create the profile that it will download into

i never liked nor recomended ity as the entire sites hidden except for thesignup page this virtualy eliminates all trafic entirely and the only way ppl get to see your site is by your members spamming thier emails
it (ning sites) has a invite link that will invite by email and can search your various email accounts for contacts to send invites to

i much rather have people come to my site that want to be there cause of the value of the info provided

94g is hardly the biggest mines 250 gig but im short by 250 members im at 13 250

but with 65,000 photos ..the giggage adds up fast and the uploads take forever..imports too

no idea who that susan is but thats a nifty slider..however is not responsive and i believe is flash so wont work on ipads and such (plus flash crashes insanely often)
so id recomend not using that 1 instead if you cant get 1 built into jr look for an html5 one or

you can use css animation to create 1
