How to remove *asterisks* from Images Tab ?

Ning To Jamroom

Ok, I ran the integrity chack and the asterisks around Images disappeared in the main menu links. :)

I cloned my Ningja skin and found the headermenudesktop tmeplate and i did this and saved it, and refreshed page, but am not seeing a link for HOME in my top nav bar links. What am I not doing right please?:

(oops bear with me, I can't seem to paste code into my post here...)

Brian, what are the chances of beefing up the "Private Notes" module (for private messages between members) so that it has a richtext/wysiwyg text box for writing the notes in? Being able to embed hotlinks, web images, quoting, bold/underline/italic text etc ...well it makes messaging way more useful and fun. I bought the Private Notes Module since it wasn't in the Ning Bundle but it seems pretty limited and plain vanilla compared to what I'm used to. I certainly wouldn't mind paying more for a more versatile one, either. Is it something you'd be into doing? Merci....

Ah, I had a feeling you might need to go back to that and make a few adjustments. Thank you Brian.

It absolutely does help Brian. :)

P.S. Not sure how I'd want them to be 'different' according to Soaring, but I agree with SE that the comments on someone's profile page should not be in a timeline that sinks comments into oblivion after a couple dozen- they do need to be permanently browseable by visitors to that person's page.

I have a couple of very beloved deceased longtime members, and the comments on thier profile pages are still added to even now. The long running comments from other members are a touching tribute to those people and how they are missed. I'd hate to see all those beautiful personal comments disappear. Thanks so much.

Yes that's what I thought. I'm happy to wait and I know you'll do a great job.
I am holding off in updating those two Group modules still because of this as well...hope that's ok to wait on. Thanks!

Are we getting our site-wide Forums back? (not referring to the discussions within each Group) The main Forums section/feature is a big part of most of our networks.
I think you guys said you were currently working on figuring out how to redirect our discussions in our archive Discussions folder so that when re-imported, the Group discussions will go to their designated group and the main Forums discussions go to a main site forums section with categories...correct?

Then what will happen to all the comments currently on our members' personal pages on our ning networks?

yikes multiple problems

Ning To Jamroom

SE I'm afraid I could never read that text, even on my big desktop screen.

Brian, on my main "Images" page, I'm seeing things looking way nicer now that you added the responsive grid layout...no problems for me. I was suggesting for what Soaring was describing, but it sounds like he is still seeing what i USED to see before your updates- with the white space to the right of each image, and just a single column of vertical images from top to bottom.

SE- are you using Ningja skin, and did you update everything? I believe Brian added the 'grid view' yesterday, to more efficiently be able to browse various pictures on the site. Here is what i see on my site:

Important questions about Ning "Groups"

Ning To Jamroom

"I'm not sure what you mean here - a "profile" in Jamroom is a personal page for a (usually) single user. Note that Jamroom simply adds the ability to have MORE than 1 user tied to a profile (think of a band with 5 members in it - each of those users has a USER ACCOUNT (i.e. what stores their password, email, etc. - not visible to the public) but they are all part of ONE profile.
For example, my Profile is here:
https://www.jamroom.net/brian/action
and it is just me."

That DOES help, thank you!
When i read that a profile can have various users and a user can have multiple profiles...(did I even read that somewhere or am i losing my mind?)...or that a forum is within a profile... well it's been very confusing.
