FireFox not playing video in playlist, ok in Chrome and IE though

Using Jamroom

Thanks guys!

Well let us know John if you solve your video firefox mystery...weird that it plays in the video section but not in your profile playlist on YOUR computer but not ours. Have you tried the same thing under a regular user's profile playlist? That would be a little check test.

John Bizley:
By the way on another note I must apologise for the post the other day on Ning, my wife is a sensitive little thing and things I think got a little blown out of proportion so sorry about that.

Well I think it's very gracious of you to apologize ...accepted, and let's move forward.
We are all on the same team here. :)

Thanks John. Still some work ahead before I go live, but progress is happening faster now, and with the ultra fast JR server it now makes tweaking my site less of a dreary time suck as it was on the cheap arvixe server. Today for the first time I felt I had reached the point where the End Goal is in sight.
A few days ago I had a video that balked and after the latest flash update it worked fine- is your flash updated to latest?

The "Parade" video is playing for me in Firefox, on windows 7. It seems to have a little buffering issue in the first few seconds but then plays fine.

Jamroom Hosting - looking for a few beta testers

brian:
Just use the IP address of your server - don't use the domain. You can find the IP Address, port and user login in the server settings.
Let me know if that gets you in. Thanks!

Ah! I got in! Yaaaaaaaayyyy! :D

I was filling in my user name as Strumelia + my own JR password instead of user="jamroom" + jamroom's password. I thought the example Paul gave was just an example based on JR's own login info, but that I'd need to fill in my own info instead. D'OH! hahahaha...

Ok so now I have the connection saved and the info copied safely. woo-HOOOO, now I can get to my 'stuff' whenever i need to. Awesome!! FileZilla SFTP access established!!
(I hope no one was 'rummaging around' in my stuff when I wasn't looking...) ;D

P.S. Hi Asil- welcome! :D

yes.
I assumed it was maybe because I was just a couple hours after having changed dns or domain pointing. and later yesterday I initiated the transfer of my domain registration away from arvixe as well.. so I thought i'd give it a couple days to settle in and re-examine, in case some setting needed to update.

FileZilla should work no problem - just make sure you've selected SFTP as the protocol.

Yes, did that, and i agree, it 'should' work no problem. l o l....
will revisit on a new thread later on. ;)

hiding the profile location and questions on shops and mnain forums

Ning To Jamroom

I realized something that confused me and might confuse others, so wanted to mention:

When I am signed in as the admin, and I own the profile that has "forums".... I will still see all the personal content/tabs/ningquestions/ etc belonging to me and the profile "forums"...when in any forum area.
If I sign OUT and sign back in as a REGULAR/non-admin member, I NO LONGER SEE that profile info when in the forums. (which is what I want).
Just something to keep in mind- when signed in as admin we often see stuff that regular members won't see, so check your site from a non-admin perspective before trying to get rid of something you don't want to be there...it might not be there for your members and thus might not even be a problem.

Anyway, I think i'm good with this issue for now.

I too am clueless as to all these meanings and entries concerning setting up Mailgun.
I was going to worry about it in another week or so once the dust settled from my server move and my transfer of my domain name from Arvixe to a different registrar.
I know my Mailgun is not set up properly yet since i tried sending an email to strumelia@(mysite).com and it came back as undeliverable yesterday.

For me, Mailgun isn't my top priority right now, but I'll need to fix it up eventually, so I'm following Ken's discussion here as best I can.

Don't even get me stared on my Filezilla fails... lol.
I find it works best if I'm taking on one issue at a time. ;)
