Then theres the Page Not Found errors:
About half of the entries in the the Latest Forum Posts module on the index page (which USED to be latest Group discussions, mind you) when clicked, take me to the ".....#last" URL, but I get: Page Not Found.

Yikes, this is going to be really confusing to my members. I can't even really wrap my head around it.
I just want All the forums to be 'site forums', and the only members or member info showing would be who started a thread or who posted a response to the thread. Not who 'owns' forums. My members are going to be asking me over and over...why am I seeing Strumelia's personal info when i look at my forum posts?

I feel so dumb today.

Thanks- I do understand that i get to decide, and that the form collects and the template displays, etc.

My question is a bit different, let me clarify it-
Say on Ning I had 3 signup questions that asked about a member's music taste. These questions and the member's answers are currently displayed on their imported profile pages., That's fine.
BUT...once the site goes live, say I CHANGE the sign up questions to be different- 3 questions about how long the prospective member has played music, what is their favorite song...
New members will I assume have those questions and answers shwoing now on their profile page (if I choose to 'show' of course)...but what will then happen to the older members' questions and answers showing on theri pages? Will the old questions remain on the older profiles, or will they be the new questions shown with the old answers...therefore not making sense?

Also, my other little question: I notice that "password, and repeat password", by default, are 'required' on the user/signup form but NOT set as 'required' on the user/account form. Is this ok? and is the purpose of it to enable people staying logged in for up to 2 weeks if they select that option? Thanks!

I awfully sorry Brian, but I am not understanding your answer.

Why does Martha see Strumelia's (or "Forums' ") profile questions and location etc in the sidebar when martha is just looking for her own forum posts?

I signed in as a regular 'test' member on my site. (not signed in as Strumelia, site owner)
Signed in as the regular member (member names Martha Campbell), I see these issues:

I posted "test post" in a forum thread. (A thread that was created by Strumelia long ago.)

The new post appears on the site main index page- both in the general Latest Acitvity Timeline, and also in the module for Latest Forum Posts.

First problem: about half of the entries in the the Latest Forum Posts module on the index page (which USED to be latest Group discussions, mind you) when clicked, take me to the ".....#last" URL, but I get: Page Not Found.

Second issue: this may be how things are intended to be set up, but I need to change it.
When (as Martha) I first click to my forum post in the General Timeline Activty feed, I get to a nice tab for "Discussions", which I also get when clicking on the top navbar "Forums" link.
But when going to the tabs for "Newest Posts" or "My Posts"....I suddenly get Strumelia's profile info all on the left side, with my forum profile user "Forums" avatar...see screenshots.
I don't want this. Users need to peruse forum threads and their own or latest posts without seeing my personal profile info on the page. It's too confusing and too 'in yer face'. How can I get rid of this?
Soaring had already posted a fix for GROUPS that prevented the Group creator's profile info from showing up in their group....do I need to do some tweak for FORUMS as well or something?- or is this not expected behavior and is a glitch? See screenshots and keep in mind that I am signed in there as a regular member Martha, not as the site admin Strumelia. (The first screenshot is fine, when in "Discussions" tab.) Thanks for help, JR team!

line spacing in the Profile page "Bio" box still excessive

With every simple line return, text editor box creates a whole blank line, leading to excessive spaces everywhere and very loooong "Bio" boxes on the profile pages- too many double spaced lines and empty space. Can this be tightened up? Thanks!

OK I think i got it now.

I notice that "password, and repeat password", by default, are 'required' on the user/signup form but NOT set as 'required' on the user/account form. Is this to enable people staying logged in for up to 2 weeks if they select that option?

Also- Once we have migrated and have left Ning and are LIVE...can we just GET RID OF the ning signup questions and create our own new ones for NEW member signups to answer? -If we do that however, what will happen to the questions and answers now showing on our imported ning members' profile pages? Thanks for clarifying.
